About this deal

Using a caliper, we measured that in its widest part, the shoe's forefoot is 96.6 mm wide. This is 1.5 mm narrower than the average. So, people with wide-than-average feet may want to go for the wide option straight away. Apart from the spring it offers, the shoe's cushion also provides a great deal of impact protection. This makes the Questar a better option for recovery days and long walks. Tipping the scale at 10.9 oz (310g),the Adidas Questar is pretty hefty compared to the average weight of road running shoes. It is more than an ounce heavier!

We measured the forefoot at 118.9 mm and the heel at 96.1 mm in their widest parts. This is 5 mm and 6 mm wider than average respectively! This makes the Questar base very close to that of the Adidas Ultraboost 22 (117.7 mm and 98.3 mm).

Outside of the soft foot wrap of this shoe's upper, what makes it remarkable is its eco-friendly characteristic. Made with 50% recycled content, it stays true to the brand's goal of eliminating plastic waste. Having run in the Questar for about 30 miles, we can conclude that the shoe has average durability based on minor wear and tear. The Questar Flow NXT is for anyone looking for a comfortable running shoe that can pass off as professional or stylish casual wear. The white Adidas shoe is a classic street wear look and I’ve also seen plenty of healthcare workers wearing that style of shoes with scrubs and it looks great. Who should NOT buy it Secondly, the stiffness of this rubber is also a solid average. It is even about 5%-8% denser than other shoes in the budget-friendly category, like the Nike Downshifter 12 or the Reebok Lite 3.

My only experience with Adidas until trying the Questar Flow NXT was the Ultraboost lineup. I’ve worn the Ultraboost 19 and Ultraboost 21 and was a huge fan of them for casual style and work fashion in the hospital, but found them to have a good amount of response, but they were a bit too firm for running. On a running performance scale of 1-10, with 1 being barefoot (no offense barefoot runners, just not my cup of style) and 10 being my favorite running shoes of all time the Saucony Endorphin Speed, I think I’d give these a 3 or 4. The shoe is very comfortable walking around and lounging in. No hot spots and there was no need to break them in like some shoes and foams require (a great example of this is the Saucony Endorphin Shift, which took me about 50 miles to break in). As you can imagine, the run is pretty lifeless and the shoe performs much more poorly as the distance or time increases since there isn’t a lot of support and cushion.
