Once the flames have died down and the charcoal has ashed over (approx. 20 minutes depending on outdoor wind conditions), spread the charcoal as desired. The kindling is dried for a minimum of 24 hours and then heated at 80 ° for 6-8 hours. The heat treating process sterilises the wood to ensure its free from all insects and pests! Preparation and Usage We have had our quality standards in place for over 70 years and we are confident that every firelighter leaving our factory is ready for a consumer to safely light their fire.
