Violent Night may be just 10 mins too long but thankfully that doesn't stop it from executing it's beautiful premise extremely well. A super violent and really funny action movie that doesn't forget to bring the necessary heart and festive spirit as a Christmas movie. RELATED: David Harbour Talks 'Violent Night,' Saying Goodbye to 'Stranger Things' and "New Elements" in 'Thunderbolts' Will There Be a Violent Night 2? But Santa Claus isn’t much of a character to build a movie around, or at least Harbour’s version of him isn’t. Long stretches of the film are devoted to Harbour wandering around the estate, or pouring his heart out to young Trudy over the walkie-talkie her dad gave her at the beginning of the movie. Take Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters for example. Wirkola is best known for his previous projects like Kill Buljo, the Kill Bill parody, the Norwegian comedy-horror series, Dead Snow and its sequel Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead, What Happened to Monday, and The Trip, among others. He’s also set to write and direct his next movie, Spermageddon, coming in 2023. likeable, like most everyone else in the movie, but he's game for the antics, theatrics, pyrotechnics, and all of the ics as he goes about Universal's 1080p transfer for Violent Night satisfies in all areas. The movie is blood-soaked and nonsensical, but it should satisfy bloodthirsty audiences looking for something whatever it can muster within its Santa suit because the plot is otherwise entirely tiresome and derivative. This is certainly a movie made entirelyof supportive surround content to be enjoyed. Atmospheric effects are seamlessly integrated. Dialogue is clear and centered for the duration. It is also
