On the other hand, previous studies have suggested that Wts interacts and phosphorylates Yki ( Goulev et al., 2008; Huang et al., 2005; Oh and Irvine, 2008). In our hands, both total amount and the S168 phosphorylation level of Yki co-immunoprecipitated with Wts remained unaffected in the presence or absence of Fg-Lola, suggesting that Wts-Lola interaction does not affect Wts-Yki interaction and Wts-mediated Yki phosphorylation ( Figure 6—figure supplement 2D).
