About this deal

SPLFS starts off with Hadley Sullivan missing her flight to London at JFK. Granted, Hadley would rather see her dentist than attend her father's wedding to a woman she's never even met, but her father is counting on her to make it on time. But there are some truly beautiful moments in this book. Those sweet, endearing moments that Hadley shares with Oliver. Two characters, that I instantly knew I would like. It's been a while since I've effortlessly found myself warming to the protagonist and the love interest, it's a lovely feeling :) Then there are the moments where she is hurting so much, and reminiscing about the moments she still lingers on to, in a time where her father was very much a strong presence in her and her mothers life. And these ar

If you’re someone who appreciates an excellent film score, then you’ll be pleased to know that Love at First Sight includes just that, in addition to its great music line-up. Netflix’s fall slate of films includes a new entry in the Spy Kids franchise, a rom-com with a meet-cute on an airplane, and a psychological thriller starring Alden Ehrenreich and Phoebe Dynevor. Emily Blunt and Chris Evans headline Pain Hustlers, Sylvester Stallone’s life and career is examined in Sly, and Michael Fassbender plays an assassin in David Fincher’s The Killer. The characters themselves left me a little cold, with the possible exception of Oliver. (And I’m not just saying that, promise.) I didn’t harbour strong feelings of dislike towards Hadley, but neither did I have any real concern with her problems. Her characterisation as a teenager holding onto anger and grief over her parent’s divorce felt accurate, but I can’t say this book evoked much sympathy for her in me. Also, the "love makes everything okay" wrap up to some of the story lines didn't gel with me. Being "in love" doesn't justify crappy behaviour so, Hadley's acceptance of the whole situation with her Dad felt a little too tidy for me. Following a limited theatrical premiere, “ No One Will Save You” debuted on Hulu on Friday. It ranks as the No. 1 most-streamed film for the weekend of Sept. 22-24 on Whip Media’s Movie Ranker, which uses viewership data from its consumer app, TV Time, which has over 28 million registered users globally. The critically panned horror movie Leatherface becomes an unexpected Netflix hit. Leatherface is a 2017 prequel movie in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series. Directed by duo Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury, Leatherface was a critical flop, holding a rotten 27% critical score on Rotten Tomatoes. There's nothing to the story. Hadley's father is getting married to another woman and she's mad and upset about it. After lots of pleading and compelling, Hadley finally agrees to attend his wedding which is in London. She meets this guy called Oliver at the airport and they strike up a conversation and immediately, she falls for him. Then, she attends the wedding, forgives her dad for leaving her and her mum and ends up with Oliver happily ever after.

And let's talk about this love interest, shall we? He's tall, lanky, and floppy haired; you know, the standard by which all boys are messured nowadays. But even he can't seem to breathe any life into a story this boring. Seriously, my jaw still hurts from all the yawning I did while reading this. I know I must seem a little bitter, but can you really blame me for hoping that maybe, just maybe, this could turn out to be as cute and pleasantly fluffy as Anna and the French Kiss? Perhaps my expectations were too high; nevertheless, I'm sure that with better written characters, a more intriguing plot, and a more believable romance, this could've been something great. Grobar, Matt (August 30, 2023). "Netflix Sets Fall Movie Release Dates For The Killer, Pain Hustlers, Sly, Wes Anderson's The Wonderful Story Of Henry Sugar& More". Deadline Hollywood . Retrieved August 30, 2023. Italian actress Luisa Ranieri has joined the cast of Johnny Depp’s upcoming Amadeo Modigliani bio-pic Modi as filming gets underway in Hungary. Based on the novel The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, by Jennifer E. Smith, Love at First Sight follows in the footsteps of hits like To All the Boys I've Loved Before and The Kissing Booth on Netflix, highlighting a story of young love mainly targeted at millennial and Gen Z audiences. You said that right – there needs to be a definite chemistry and we can say for sure that the greatest romantic movies like The Notebook, may be a little cringe for some – but the chemistry, plotline, and acting certainly blew our minds!I've been dying to get my hands on this book from the moment I read the blurb on it. It does not disappoint. This is such a sweet and heartbreaking story at the same time. The story is sweet, in the scenes with Oliver, and heartbreaking in the ones with Hadley's dad and family drama. Exclusive: Following the TIFF world premiere of Unicorns, the buzzy cross-cultural romance marking his feature acting debut, British actor and singer Jason Patel has taken on new reps at Gersh and Untitled Entertainment. Love at First Sight is a 2023 American romantic comedy film directed by Vanessa Caswill and written by Katie Lovejoy, based upon the 2011 novel The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith. It stars Haley Lu Richardson, Ben Hardy, Dexter Fletcher, Rob Delaney, Sally Phillips and Jameela Jamil. The film premiered on Netflix on September 15, 2023. Her first picture book, The Creature of Habit, illustrated by Leo Espinosa, was released in 2021. [4] Her first novel for adults, The Unsinkable Greta James, was released in 2022. [5] Film adaptations [ edit ] According to the non-profit academic medical center Cleveland Clinic’s Health Essentials, 60% of individuals claim to have experienced love at first sight, and experiencing it for the first time makes it more likely they'll experience it again. The article goes into detail about how love at first sight is supposed to manifest, with psychologist Susan Albers’ interview offering most of the technical information. However, some scientists actually tried to define what love at first sight is.

Kix played their final concert ever on Sunday night (September 17th) at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland — just down the road from the band’s home city of Baltimore. For the last past 2 years Hadley kept her father away. She didn’t want to be part of his new life and she didn’t want him in her life. She thought that if he had chosen to be with someone else, she was better off. But then, it seamed that her own decisions were the ones that made her impossibly unhappy, because she suffered for not having him in her life anymore. It was a personal, inside fight without an ending, and it hurt her more than she knew it could. Pain is relative; we might suffer as much from the very wrong and different reasons. What counts in the end is the lesson we’ve learned, how it might change us. Netflix's latest romantic comedy, Love at First Sight, is the film adaptation of Jennifer E. Smith’s The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight. It follows Hadley Sullivan ( Haley Lu Richardson), an American flying to London for her father's second wedding, and Oliver ( Ben Hardy), a mathematician returning home for familial obligation. Although the film's narrator, Jameela Jamil, claims this story is not about love, it is about love and fate.Fall is officially upon us, and Netflix knows the best way to chill is to fire up a new movie. The streamer has officially announced its full fall film slate, with highly anticipated features such as Bradley Cooper’s Leonard Bernstein biopic “ Maestro,” Todd Haynes’ latest drama May December”, and David Fincher’s adaptation of “ The Killer.” In “ Love Again,” Céline Dion talks some sense into Rob ( Sam Heughan) when he struggles to make a connection with beautiful Mira Troy ( Priyanka Chopra) after she instigates their meet cute by texting Rob’s phone — the same number that used belong to dead lover. The parts with Hadley and her family were very heartbreaking and while her feelings change toward her father, I couldn't help but stay mad at him. What a selfish man! I didn't see anything in this story that justified his actions, and my heart ached for Hadley and her mother. It’s not a bad book at all. I liked Jennifer E Smith’s writing, and I did confess to having a closet romantic side, didn’t I? Every now and then I enjoy reading a blatantly cute, escapist book. And yes, maybe I like tall, British guys. But I don’t really feel there is much to get hyped-up over here. Even for fans of YA romance, I’m not sure that it’s all that compelling. This book won’t go on my “most memorable” shelf, to put it plainly. This is why, and I am in the minority here, I just couldn't like this book as I thought I would. Light and fluffy is totally my cup of tea, but disagreeing with the general message of the book is a whole different story.

Today should be one of the worst days of Hadley's life. Her father is getting married in London to a woman she's never even met, and she's just missed her flight. Adam Sandler’s You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah was No. 2 on the list, keeping up its four-week streak on the Top 10 with another 4.6M views. The first half of the book is cheesy and annoying, but in the way that Valentine's Day is annoying. You say, "Okay, this is too much, but it's sort of cute. I guess I can see why people like this book." The second half of the book is cheesy and annoying, but in the way that daytime TV shows are annoying. You say, "What the hell is wrong with these people? Do they not have basic human emotions? Why are they fighting over something so stupid? I do not understand." There is a happy ending, but it felt contrived and undeserved. What Hadley and Oliver had, it wasn't love. Paramount’s decision to air reruns of the biggest show on cable, “ Yellowstone,” amid Hollywood’s double strike on broadcast TV this fall is already paying off. Yes, the film does not offer you anything that you do not know or have not seen before, but it presents this simple and cliché subject in a very watchable way.Netflix's newest rom-com, Love at First Sight, has become an instant hit among viewers since its release earlier this month. The film is an adaptation of Jennifer E. Smith's novel The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, a title that Netflix gets its male lead to utter quite creatively at the end of the film. The film was directed by Vanessa Caswill, with Katie Lovejoy and the author herself, Jennifer E. Smith, in the writer's seats. Despite being an adaptation, the film doesn't strictly adhere to its source text, a fact that fans of the novel will realize upon seeing the conclusion of the film. Love at First Sight is one of the best movies to watch on Netflix right now. It’s a great romantic movie that has sensibility and maturity on its side while still being a little fanciful.
