Hot and delicious could barely scratch the surface of how this book was. I'm pretty confident that my favorite couple is from this book!Unsere Protagonistin Laikyn ist auch sehr blass gewesen. Sie weint nur rum und zeigt nicht einmal ihre Stärke. Diese gibt es anscheinend auch nicht. I enjoyed the characters, even when I thought the heroine was acting dumb. While Lake acted like she knew it all, she knew very little. Her ignorance is what drove this story though. Tyson had so many secrets and even I was guessing, right to the end, what his motives were and why things were happening the way they were. Honestly, I wanted to rate this book higher because it was hotter and more deceptively devastating than I thought it would be. However, in the end, I felt that things were left dangling a bit. I have been hesitating to write a review for this book since it was the least of my favorite in the series, but Tyson’s book was my most anticipated read in the series. However, I am here to give an honest review in exchange for this ARC. Initially, I rated this as a 3, but I thought about it and narrowed it down to a 2. Please understand that we have different opinions, and please don’t be disheartened if mine is different. I respect if you love the book. I definitely respect how the book was written, and the characters came to be. This group contains adult content. He is a character we are 1st introduced to in The Ritual, another book based in the LORDS world. This book is a standalone, the previous LORD books do not have to be read to follow this story. One Christmas, while everyone was thinking of what resolutions they would make for the coming year, she already had something concrete in mind. Shantel convinced herself that she was going to become an author come what may. The Sacrifice begins with Tyson’s initiation into the secret society of the Lords. We meet Laikyn on her wedding day. She is a daughter of a Lord and her wedding is an arranged one to another Lord.

I’ve been waiting for Tyson’s book because the breadcrumbs Shantel left in the other books were so mysterious. I love the set up for the next book in the Lords’ world and the glimpse of the Lords’ children.

Yet even he couldn’t have seen what our future held. Ultimately, we’re all just pawns in a game that none of us can win unless you’re willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice … and even that may not be enough. The things I did like were the beginning chapters. The way Tyson presented in about the first 7-8 chapters was dark deliciousness. I liked the cameos and how their characters aligned with the story, and how their demeanors stayed consistent to the other books. Like yes i like me some dubcon situation and all that but when it's the same deal with all the lords,things get monotonous at this point.But on my wedding day, I was handed over to another man—an even more ruthless Lord that my family hated.
