At some point after the events of the Draining Spell, the Collector ended up recruiting Odalia so she could help him with managing the Archives. Although Odalia thought she could convince the Collector to change the Boiling Isles into something that could benefit her, he instead gives her the position of being the housekeeper and doesn't really care about her suggested ambitions for the Isles. Although he refers to her as "Mamadalia", indicating he might see her as a kind of mother figure. After Belos' defeat, it's unknown what happened between them afterwards, but it's assumed the Collector cut all ties with Odalia when returning to the stars. Levitation: The Collector can float around and fly as he pleases. He can also levitate other objects, lift and rearrange them into new structures, or move them at a high velocity that the object makes a powerful impact upon collision, as he did with Belos. Furthermore, with additional people, he can create a star-shaped platform for them to ride on. I thoroughly enjoyed this new romantic suspense novel by Nora Roberts – more suspense with a side of romance – also with a fair sprinkling of humour throughout; laugh out loud stuff a couple of times! It was a little “quiet” at the beginning, but once the action started the story was gripping and intense through to the ending. I loved the four main characters and especially loved the miniature poodle, Earl Grey! I was reminded a few times of parallels with the In Death series too, which I love. The Collector (the title is appropriate!) is a novel I have no hesitation in recommending highly. King also uses gender-neutral pronouns for the Collector at one point in the last episode, and Luz conversely switches to using masculine pronouns in the end narration.

After much skimming and skipping, finally arrived at THE END….by then I had made my decision.. But before I do that - Here’s to closing my eyes and making a wish that the next book by my fav author will be totally awesome!!
