About this deal

Roger Stern (born September 17, 1950 in Noblesville, Indiana) is an American comic book author, editor and novelist best known for his work on Spider-Man, The Avengers, and Superman in the Post-Crisis era. The Amazing Spider-man Roger Stern/Romita Jr storyline is possibly my favorite set of Spidey arcs of all time. It is Marvel Comics to the core. Whether you love him from Spider-Man, the Avengers, Superman, Doctor Strange or any of the other major characters he’s chronicled over the decades, Roger Stern remains one of comics’ most popular writers.

Also the Juggernaut tale is another one of those "best Spider-man stories" I never read until now and again I was a little disappointed. I guess, like a lot of things in life, you build up these expectations and reality doesn't live up to it. So, why does/do the Stern run(s) work? Well, let’s zoom out for a second and think about what makes him such a pillar in the Spidey Hall of Fame. What does he do so well? Here are a few thoughts: Wallace, Dan (2008). "Eradicator". In Dougall, Alastair (ed.). The DC Comics Encyclopedia. London, United Kingdom: Dorling Kindersley. p.116. ISBN 978-0-7566-4119-1. stern e jrj) madame teia e o imparavel fanático, o cobra , mister Hyde , o tarântula e a vingança do fogo fátuoLast time we chatted, I covered Denny O’Neil’s competent but generally uninspiring run on The Amazing Spider-Man. The big takeaways? Denny wasn’t meant to write Spidey, which is fine — because he made history in so many ways, with so many other characters (Batman, the Question, GL/GA, to name a few!). You can’t win ‘em all. That said, we had Roger Stern and John Romita Jr. next, which is, to many, the highwater mark for Spidey’s flagship title.

Retrieved February 20, 2012.West Coast Avengers (Vol. 1) #4: Finale. Accidentally summoned to Los Angeles by the Blank, Graviton takes over the So Cal mobs with his awesome ability to make things heavier or lighter. Oh, and he’s in the process of murdering Wonder Man. After being framed by Ovum-Cranium and then “rescued” by the Masters of Evil at his own trial, he’s forced a la Jesse at the end of Breaking Bad to cook up some new gadgets for the bad guys. Instead, of course, he invents some power bands to whip their butts. Also in this issue: Jennifer Walters can’t turn into She-Hulk, so Hawkeye mansplains at her until she turns green and slaps the Sherwood Forest out of him. Then he accidentally murders Egghead. Good times. The series introduced new versions of characters like Mary Jane, Norman Osborn, Aunt May, and Peter Parker. Bagley had worked on the Amazing Spider-Man title during the 90s, but his time on Ultimate was unprecedented. The artist illustrated 111 straight issues, contributing heavily to Ultimate Spider-Man's critical acclaim.
