About this deal

You obviously enjoyed this book and it seems as though it was really well written and articulated by the author. J M Forster is an award-winning writer of books for children and young teens. She lives in Gloucestershire with her husband, two sons, Ben and Louis, and Frodo, the Australian labradoodle. Her first attempt at writing was when she was nine years old. That manuscript is still somewhere in the attic being looked after by the spiders. Shadow Jumper, her popular mystery adventure for 9 year olds to young teens, has now been joined by a long-awaited sequel, Twilight Robbery. J M Forster has also published Bad Hair Days, a touching mystery about family, friendships and being different.

Armistice Day: A Collection of Remembrance - Spark Interest and Educate Children about Historical Moments One of the best ways to make classroom lessons more engaging is by using technology—and Shadow Jumper provides plenty of opportunities for that. After reading a chapter of the book aloud, you can have students watch related videos or listen to music that fits the theme of the chapter. Using tech doesn’t just make things more interesting; it also helps students better understand what they’ve read by providing additional context and visuals. He steadied himself, one hand on the wall of a chimney, and looked for his next secure place. Then he set off again, somersaulting over low ledges and scrambling up a steep pitch. At the top, he bounced off a chimney wall, twisting in the air to change direction. It also brings to mind two books by Dean Koontz that deal with a character who can't be exposed to sunlight. (I forget the medical term...starts with an x or z, I think) Aunty Lil was a joyful, happy and cheerful character that made me laugh at her expressions that she thought her jokes were funny but they were not.

I found this book really fun to read as when you are reading the plot you are intrigued by the current mission then another mission appears in the storyline! This made the story an incredibly fun and enjoyable gripping to read. I have to agree that the cover art is amazing, although Kelly is quite welcome to a jigsaw puzzle with all that same colour in it! It seems interesting that the author did not include a romance between the characters. As this is also different I think that it is a good thing. The characters in Shadow Jumper are incredibly dynamic and flawed, making it easier for students to relate to them on some level. When teaching this book, you should encourage your students to analyze each character’s motivations and development throughout the novel so they can understand why certain decisions were made at specific points in time. You may want to assign individual character studies or have your class discuss characters’ relationships with each other; this will help them gain a better understanding of how characters interact with one another within a larger context.I thoroughly enjoyed the book as whilst reading it I loved the way I was able to build a picture in my mind. Once you were involved in the story it was popping with a new matter.

The research was led by Dr. Ludger Kolbe, Chief Scientist for Photobiology at Beiersdorf and his team. Thanks to their expertise, they were able to develop a unique cosmetic sunscreen exclusively tailored to Charlotte. Dr. Kolbe explains: “With the high standards of skin protection that we at NIVEA pursue, we are delighted that we were able to find a special solution for Charlotte. With her personal sunscreen, she still has to be careful in the sun, but can spend a little longer playing outside with her friends.”Four-year-old Charlotte suffers from a condition known as EPP – erythropoietic protoporphyria.
