Anyone and everyone on a Spiritual Journey most specifically Muslim and Sufis but as I first stated "Anyone" should read this gem of a book. The Genealogy of Morals and Ecce Homo. Tr. Walter Kaufmann and R.J. Hollingdale. New York: Vintage Books. Hindi nga ako humihingi ng tawad sa kanya noon kasi iniisip ko kung ako ang ginawan niya ng ganito hindi ko siya papatawarin. Ganun rin ang tingin ko sa kanya,” he said. Restorative justice If that is true, then the command to love is implicitly also a command to set our minds on things that are above — all that God promises to be for us — not on things that are on the earth (Colossians 3:2). I'm always a bit wary of celebrity memoirs because I'm not sure I want to know all the details of their dirty laundry. But this book is about so much more than Zachary Levi's life. While it includes a lot more swear words than I expected, I appreciate Zach's honest approach about mental health in both his own life and in opening up the conversation, trying to make it normal to talk about mental health without all the stigmas surrounding it. The things he has to say to provide encouragement to those struggling with similar issues is moving and heartfelt and empowering. I definitely didn't listen to this audiobook with dry eyes.

Listening to Zachary Levi for 6+ hours is literally the best way to consume this book. Hearing his emotion while reading brought this book to life. The book was relatable to me in so many ways, maybe it's the Libra, nerd, and Xennial connection? But also, I had by many standards a great childhood, but beneath the surface generational trauma that has impacted my mental health.Nevertheless, when the actress’s faith went through a tough test following the incident, it was by that line from the Lord’s Prayer she found the glimmer of light. Hatty Nestor: The constraints placed upon Chelsea Manning while she was in prison meant that she had little control over her identity or the distribution of her portrait. As an artist, what was your role in generating visibility for her through portraiture? We also must interpret Jesus’ final command (6:30) in the same way. He does not mean that we should indiscriminately give money or goods to everyone who comes along and asks. Nor does He mean that it is wrong to hold people accountable for things they have borrowed from us. Biblical love seeks the highest good of the other person, and it is not seeking his highest good to foster his irresponsible behavior. As Leon Morris states, “If Christians took this one absolutely literally there would soon be a class of saintly paupers, owning nothing, and another of prosperous idlers and thieves” ( Luke [IVP/Eerdmans], p. 130). Rather, Jesus is confronting our greed and selfishness and encouraging us to be generous people. In all of these things, His radical love requires us to respond to wrongs with positive ministry toward the wrongdoer, not with retaliation or personal vengeance. Jesus sums this up in the next principle, known as “the golden rule”: What it ended up being was a character study of a gay priest in 19th century London, who preaches the “radical” notion that love conquers all by day, and officiates “molly-house” weddings by night, including between cis men and trans women. I thoroughly enjoyed how unwavering in his sexuality and acceptance he was, despite what the religious and historical contexts imposed - in this sense, he certainly was a radical. A childhood and early adolescence void of love and nurturing leads him to chase it obsessively in his adult life, clinging to it oppressively and often with devastating consequences. Despite it all, I found myself rooting for him consistently: charisma wins every time. Most of us respond by thinking, “Yes, if my wife and kids would just do what you’re saying, our home would be great! I hope they’re listening!” But we can’t point the finger at others. We must obey this radical command in spite of how others respond or treat us. As someone has said, “The Golden Rule is of no use to you whatever unless you realize that it is your move.”

How can we do this? Where does the power to love like this come from? Just think how astonishing this is when it appears in the real world! Could anything show the truth and power and reality of Christ more than this? Dewey-Hagborg’s portraits seek to uncover the dominant narratives surrounding who is considered eligible and worthy of representation, and who is deemed the author of their own image, while shaking off outdated notions of genetic essentialism. They also demonstrate how solidarity with the incarcerated can begin with a single strand of hair. Heather Dewey-Hagborg and Chelsea E. Manning, Probably Chelsea, 2017; Genetic materials, custom software, 3D prints; 30 portraits, each portrait 8 x 6 x 8 inches, overall dimensions variable. Courtesy of the artists and Fridman Gallery Radical Love premiered at the World Economic Forum in January of 2016, if I remember correctly. That, especially from an activist angle, was a practical place to begin. The later work, Probably Chelsea, in a way is a kind of celebration. It’s a celebration of Chelsea’s release. It’s a celebration of the genetic commonality that we all share. In a sense it’s much lighter and more playful and fun. It’s more of an art installation, and also an opportunity for Chelsea to enter into being an artist, and being seen as an artist. In answer to the question, the reception has been positive. Diyos…,” she later added, in between tears, as if explaining to the broken man how she managed to find solace in forgiveness. Növel, derived from the Hungarian word meaning 'to enhance,' is your destination for dermatology and cosmetic surgical excellence.I'm very happy to know he got help, knows that mental health is something that can't be "cured", and continues to get help when needed. I love that he advocates for Mental Health on his social media and as an ambassador for the Active Minds, a non-profit, young adult mental health advocacy program.
