Lots of people made videos installing this CPU cooler into their machines. I happen to have done this on a AM5 motherboard with a 7800x3d chip. The case was closed, also at the top (The Define C has an option to open the top plate but it was closed) PWM Fans】TL-C12C; Standard size PWM fan:120x120x25mm (4.72x4.72x0.98 inches); Product weight:0.97kg(2.1lb); fan speed (RPM):1550rpm±10%; power port: 4pin; Voltage:12V; Air flow:66.17CFM(MAX); Noise Level≤25.6dB(A), leave room for memory-chip(RAM), so that installation of ice cooler cpu is unrestricted

Leaves me wondering about comparison to the Deepcool AS500 (or similar single-tower 140mm coolers, Scythe Fuma 2, etc.) Would be nice if testing can be normalized in a way that allows results to be transferred/combined for larger lists. Of course, that's not super-compact, but using only 120mm fans, it's a lot smaller than something like Noctua's NH-D15, a cooler that pretty much sets the benchmark in the category but is rather sizeable in pulling off that achievement. I have this cooler on my spare/tv system, 1080ti with day1 3900x, fans only go 50% when using 160w or 65c temps Tier 2: These coolers are able to keep the i9-12900K under the TJ max threshold with CPU power limits of 200W enforced. I expect most liquid coolers and the best air coolers to meet this standard. I say go for it, you may lose 1-3c but its not that big of a deal. I was running 1 fan on my cooler for a month or so, just to see how it dealt with summer. I have the front fan on right now, but I might take it off since I cant see my ram anymore

To me it looks like the SE has fewer optical improvements and is a bit smaller. Is there a thermal or noise difference?

Nvidia Please No

The tf7 thermal paste is a nice touch. I am surprised they gave that much. Its now my default thermal paste and it saved me from buying a new one. There should be more all-white any hardware in the market.Agreed. Don't care it's not inline w/ max thermal dissipation. It looks great, at least when it's clean. Displayed below are comprehensive data and graphs that compare the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 to the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE,

You can reduce some of the noise by having the pull fan on different fan header with 5-10% less PWM vs the push fan. Also from what I see now, the fans are noticable at 1200 RPM, but I just set my curve to never spin more than 1200 RPM then, because it cools too well even below 1200 RPM Phantom Spirit 120 SE aka PS120SE (7x 6mm heatpipes & 2x TL-C12B V2 fans) is same price range as Peer.ess Assassin SE aka PA120SE w/ 6x 6mm heatpipes & 2x TL-C12C fans). I was trying to find the differences between these two CPU coolers. The PA120 (non-SE) seems to be an earlier variant and 2mm (157mm) taller that the PA120 SE version (155mm).Sony MDR-V250 | GNT-500 | Logitech G610 Orion Brown | Logitech G402 | Samsung C27JG5 | ASUS ProArt PA238QR
