About this deal

Just cook the raw meat longer as you make the dishes and add more liquid if necessary so it doesn't get too dry. Add this to your slow cooker then stir in the meat until it’s coated. Cook on LOW setting for eight hours or the HIGH setting for four. You can also freeze this lamb pasanda in portions for up to three months. Remember to use full fat yogurt and double cream (heavy cream) as they are less likely to split when reheated. More Delicious Curry Recipes Korma – another hugely popular meal, this rich, creamy curry combines mild ground spices with corianderand garlic for a seriously tasty dish. This looks beyond amazing! I tend to spend all of my money on food, specifically soup (I can eat it all day, every day, and any time of the year). I haven’t heard of some of your ingredients but would love to try this recipe for sure!

Pasanda is a warm and peppery spiced curry powder. It is traditionally used to prepare the creamy, fruity curry of the same name. OftencomparedtoKorma,Pasanda is a lot tangier in flavour. It is typically prepared with a spiced yoghurt base and toasted almonds. Hi Tanusha I love it too. It's the Cuisinart spice and nut grinder. It really is great to use. Thanks Hari

Yes, and as a bonus they do deliver more flavour. But you cannot cut them into large cbhunks which I like in this curry. Hi Colin No need to grind just put it in whole and remove at the end it will add a warmth and sweetness to the dish. Let me know what you think of the dishes too. Would love to see pictures. Enjoy! I have made this recipe a few times now. It's a big hit with my family and friends. I love it! Thank you. Here on the blog at Seasoned Pioneers, we’ve covered some of the great Indian Curries: Balti, Madras and Korma. While the Pasanda is much less known, it’s every bit as good. In fact, we think it’s criminally underrated! Next time you’re at your local Indian restaurant or looking to cook up something originating from the Indian subcontinent, why not make it this? Aside from the beautiful creamy consistency that coconut will bring to your curry, it also provides many health benefits. It reduces inflammation and improves good cholesterol, which reduces heart problems.

Hi Chris That makes me so happy so glad you gave it a go and you loved it. Super easy to make at home - thanks for sharing your comments. Hari This spice blend is so versatile! I need to use it in a few more recipes and include them on the blog because we use it alllll the time. Pasanda is an incredibly luxurious curry that has become more and more popular throughout the world. It’s no surprise then to discover that it has royal roots.

Everyone's favourite creamy chicken

Sounds wonderful!! I’ll have to try this on weight watchers :). I love spaghetti squash so I usually poke a hole in it and cook it in the microwave about ten minutes. That gets it half way done. Then I finish by roasting it cut side down in the oven because it has better flavor!! Although pasanda is usually served as a meat dish, it may also be prepared in kebab form. Reflecting the dish's flavour and its connection with the almond, pasanda also refers to a mild curry sauce made with cream, coconut milk or yoghurt and almonds. A handful of sultanas adds a little juicy sweetness to the dish, while brown sugar helps to caramelise the sauce. A sprinkling of flaked almonds gives a pleasant nutty crunch and spices such as garam masala add a little earthiness with a deep, yet subtle, flavour. You can even scatter some coriander for a final flourish. This makes the perfect curry dish for all the family. Curries ALWAYS taste even better the day after you make them! Make a big batch and keep in the fridge for up to three days.
