The Kiwi head strap is a great budget alternative to the Elite strap, with a few nice editions that make it stand out from the competition. My son loves using this for long Beat Saber sessions, so it's a firm favorite in our house. It definitely makes Quest 2 a much more expensive proposition overall, so you might want to buy the headset first and see what mileage you get out of it but, if you’re already committed to standalone VR gaming, the Oculus Quest 2 Elite Battery Strap is a great add-on.

What should you look for in a head strap?

I also feel that fitting the Quest 2 in the case with the glasses spacer attached makes it too tight on the facial interface material where it rubs up against the plastic partition for the controllers. This means I don't use the case for day to day storage but would use it for travel.
