The Veteran Guardsmen Kill Team look like Death Korps of Krieg through and through, but like the Imperial Guard, they have the selectable keyword, so when subfaction rules show up, they’ll be able to take those. Your Kill Team will also nowbe subdividedinto one or more Fire Teams, depending on your faction – a mechanic intended to add structure, and differentiate between elite Kill Teams like Space Marines (who can only take one small Fire Team) and squishier factions like Imperial Guard, who (as you can see in the graphic above) can field two, with more operators in each. The only quirk I can’t figure out is Carbines. They’re completely identical to Pulse Rifles in KT21, and whilst Pulse Rifles and Pulse Blasters both have tactical ploys to benefit from, Carbines have nothing. There is no reason to use them on a Fire Warrior. You can swap out a Fire Warrior or Pathfinder for a single Drone, or swap a Stealth Battlesuit for 2 Drones. So far this seems pretty recognisable to what Tau might have fielded in KT18, there’s a few key limits that will lead to vastly different Tau kill teams though.The Ecclesiarchy Kill Team represents the military branch of the religious authorities in the Imperium. In Kill Team, they’re represented by the Adepta Sororitas, an all-female army of monastic fighters fueled by the fires of faith. Special Features

Play on a smaller play space with fewer models to reduce the choices players can agonize over. I suggest half a board with three space marines each. While you can use some of the scenery, boards, and miniatures in Kill Team 2021, the rules are not compatible with the latest edition.

If you’re interested in hobby help, consider these guides for the wonderful models in the Kill Team box. On the subject of Drones most of the special drones are available, such as Guardian or Grav-Inhibitor, but you must swap a Fire Warrior or Pathfinder for them respectively. Similar to bringing them in a 40k army. DS8 Turrets are also a Drone in KT21 and are included in the same way.
