About this deal

It’s glyphosate-based so toxic to pollinators including bees. Please snap off flowers before applying so you don’t kill our lovely dumbledores. Job Done shouldn’t be used near ponds because it kills fish and other pond life too. Liquid emerges after a few pumps, but on the downside, each pump sprays very little weedkiller so I soon had hand ache. Also, you have to get quite close to the weed to make sure liquid covers the foliage. I’d say this is best for small areas and occasional weeds rather than treating a big area. Do you have trouble defeating the toughest weeds? Well, nothing kills tough weeds fast and prevents weed regrowth for longer than Job done Tough Weedkiller. You may have seen my recent post on weed control, which shared my top tips for helping you manage pesky garden weeds. One of my tips was to use a weedkiller product to deal with tough, problem weeds, and I used Job done® Tough Ready to Use Weedkiller, which proved to be very effective. In this post, I’m going to put this product to the test against a leading competitor, to see how well it performs. This ready-to-use weed killer comes in a convenient 1 litre spray bottle and provides visible results within just 24 hours. The sprayer was OK to use. I mean, it wasn’t ergonomic, but you wouldn’t expect great shakes at this price.

It’s very easy to apply. The ‘flexi spray’ clips out of the bottle body and the pipe clips into the open lid where it screws on. Be sure to pull all of the hose from the spray head so it reaches the bottom of the container. Based on my experience of using Job done® Tough Ready to Use Weedkiller against a leading competitor, I can honestly say it’s a much more effective weedkiller. Basically, it lives up to it’s name, and gets the job done with minimal effort and fuss – which is exactly what you need when dealing with something as tiresome as weeds! If you’re looking to deal with a stubborn weed problem it’s definitely up to the job.

The difference between the two patches is even more pronounced after five days, with the weeds in the Job done ® patch very much on their way out, while there are still a lot of healthy green leaves on the weeds in the competitor patch.

Job done® Tough Ready to Use Weedkiller is designed to kill tough weeds such as brambles, nettles and dandelions, giving visible results in 24 hours and preventing re-growth for up to three months. The ready-to-use spray bottle is super-simple to use: you just give it a good shake, open the safety nozzle and spray. Within a few hours, the weeds were drooping and two days later they had started to brown and crisp up. It was 15 days before I’d say most of the weeds were properly dead and I could brush them off the driveway. This last pair of pictures was taken over three weeks after application, and I think it’s fair to say that some of the weeds in the competitor patch have survived, and will need a second application to finish them off. On the other hand, the weeds in the Job done ® patch were completely gone within a couple of weeks.
