Hi there, We have the H37XL series 2, 3 channel programmer serving a church building with multiple spaces. It controls 2 heating zones with a mix of underfloor in larges spaces supported by rads in smaller spaces within each Zone, and the third is Hot Water. There is a hard-wired thermostat in each zone, which are (possibly deliberately) not easy to adjust. The programmer is located in the boiler room, which is only accessible externally. We have an existing Horstmann H37 XL ChannelPlus on an oil-fired system. It has been in use for many years and works fine but changing the on/off times drives me nuts because each day has to be done separately. You wouldn't believe the number of button presses this involves. I note that the spec here says the timer has a Copy function? How does this work? Is this feature new or am I missing something on my old version of this timer? If this is a new feature I'd probably buy a replacement for this alone. Why do you need to re-wire the upstairs? The Boiler control thermostat by default has to be 'calling for heat' for other devices to work but it is an easy switch (chatline - couple of minutes when connected) to make all devices capable of activating the boiler.
