About this deal

Smaller desks are best suited for smaller spaces. But they can be used in ways that make them incredibly surface-efficient. Take corner desks, for example. Awesome if you really want to use your space to the max. And if you want to hide the home office desk when not in use, we have a great tip: put a curtain or blind above it. That way, when you’re done, you can just pull the curtain and poof! The whole desk is gone. And folding desks can give you even more space. This, since they can simply be folded away when you're done! Go big with a larger home desk Create a gorgeous, modern cabinet that would work in any room with some on-trend texture wallpaper. It doesn’t take much to add a little bit of cute design to furniture in a kids bedroom. There are several great pieces of furniture in the Ikea Hemnes range and we are going to look at a few of them. From dressers to beds and shoe storage to wardrobes. I then painted the piece with two coats of Sherwin Williams Notable Hue using their ProClassic line of paint. The decal is specially made to fit an Ikea Hemnes dresser and there are several other designs to choose from. For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. It’s amazing how they have recreated a cast iron Victorian look with strategic use of trims and paint.

This super-sleek bedroom dresser was created by Zoe @zoeoliviaev. She explains: 'I removed the original handles, filled the holes and removed part of the trim so that the new pull handles would sit flush along the top of each drawer. I then lightly sanded and cleaned every surface. We then cut thin strips of beading to size with corners at 45 degrees and used No Nails adhesive to attach them to the inside of the panels on each drawer.

After trying out many different samples, we landed on Sherwin Williams Pewter Green and are in love with the color! It gives a little bit of mood while still keeping things feeling airy. The Ikea Hemnes daybed is a really useful piece of furniture and here, they have completely transformed it into something truly luxurious.

A smaller home office desk for cramped spaces

There are other smart things you can consider having for your desk as well. A monitor stand, for example is a great way to raise the screen a bit, especially if you have a laptop and a fixed home computer desk. Perhaps you want a holder under the desk that keeps all the cables in place, or holes in the corner to lead the cords down to the floor. They have simply used three slightly different shades of pink to create an ombre effect on the Hemnes drawers. This furniture must be fixed to the wall with the safety fitting provided to help prevent it from tipping over if a child climbs or hangs on it. How many times have you looked at your tired old IKEA Hemnes dresser and thought you must give it that makeover you've been meaning to for the last few months? You're not alone. Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon.

The matt effect of the chalk paint really helps emphasise the darker colour in this room. Classic White and Wood Hemnes Dresser Your home desk is an incredibly versatile piece of furniture. And it has to put up with a lot. Maybe you're working long hours on the computer with stressful deadlines. Or you might be spending a lot of time gaming with your friends, working hard to level up. Perhaps you’re a persistent student, needing room for schoolbooks and notepads. And on top of all that, you might want a workspace for your hobbies as well, be it scrapbooking or painting miniatures. Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. It has been completely transformed into a stunning French country style pantry with a dark green paint job and some gorgeous antiqued mirror glass. At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. Go-to grey is always a successful shade for modern hallway ideas, and we love this chic sideboard created with an old IKEA Hemnes dresser. The khaki works so well in the Scandi-inspired space and the leather pull handles go perfectly with it.
