The former option was designed for our older ElgatoGame Capture HD and ElgatoGame Capture HD60. But it is not needed for the ElgatoGame Capture HD60 S, ElgatoGame Capture HD60 Pro, or ElgatoGame Capture 4K60 Pro. Nothing beats sharing your journey right when it happens. Video looks lower quality

Firmware updating is generally not needed anymore for any currently sold Elgatodevice. They usually already have the latest firmware. If you have an Elgato Gaming device connected to your computer, either via USB or PCIe, then it will appear in the Device section. The Nintendo Switch lets users change the audio settings regardless of what the capture/display device is capable of. If the Nintendo Switch is set to Surround mode, some sounds will not be captured correctly by Elgato Game Capture devices. You may try using a Mac with no dedicated GPU with Elgato Game Capture HD60 S+ but in this case you will probably not be able to record or stream in 1080p60 without losing frames. If this is the case, you will need to reduce the frame rate (30 fps) and/or the resolution (720p) and/or eventually the value of the quality parameter. Elgato Game Capture devices such as the HD60 Sand HD60 S+have analog audio input ports. These devices can capture sound either via HDMI or the analog port.
