Inexpensive Bluetooth bookshelf speakers that pack a punch

Bass support makes it a clear upgrade from the G1000, making audio seem fuller and richer over its predecessor. The sound is fantastic if you just want something that can fill a room with crisp, clear audio. If you're expecting something that the entire street can hear, the quality will start to suffer and you should probably buy a bigger system for that. Overall, the sound of the Edifier G2000 gaming speakers is pretty impressive. They are a small, lightweight option that doesn’t take up too much space while still delivering excellent sound quality.

I played a few casual games of Valorant and was surprisingly able to identify more sounds and locations than I initially thought. To deliver the sound, each speaker cabinet comes with a 4-inch bass driver, a flared bass reflex port (basically a specially-constructed hole that increases the bass response), and a silk dome tweeter. I’m not saying that the Edifier G2000 computer speakers are the absolute best on the market, but they’re definitely near the top of the pile. My complaints with the speakers are pretty minor. For example, I was pretty excited to give my desk an RGB facelift, but its light is surprisingly dim. For comparison, my Roccat Kova AIMO mouse seemed to shine brighter. Not a big deal by any means, but it's worth mentioning. I also wish that the volume control was a wheel instead of a toggle switch if only to offer more control when I'm trying to find that sweet spot between loud and too loud. A mostly great pair of speakers with an equally great price tag

Make sure the speaker is switched to Bluetooth input. If it is in other audio input modes, Bluetooth will not connect. The R1280DBs' predecessor, the Edifier R1280 series, has been known for awhile now for its beautiful sound quality for much less, however the Edifier R1280DBs has upped its game in a number of ways: it has a wider frequency response than both the R1280Ts and the R1280DB to start, giving users a clearer, more detailed, and better-defined sound that you’ll be hard-pressed to find in other bookshelf speakers in the same price range. Being physical speakers, the soundstage here is almost entirely up to placement. But, I get a pretty immersive audio experience having them about three feet apart. The sound imaging is accurate enough for use in gaming, though you won’t find any kind of special positional audio setting available if you rely on that for competitive gaming. While you won’t get a virtual surround sound experience, elements in a game’s environment will accurately move around wherever they’re supposed to be based on your character’s position and point of view. Do not open or remove the housing yourself. It may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazardous risks.
