About this deal

Cathy Glass has written another great book!!! It is amazing how she is put under such duress but manages to stay calm, cool and collected. I do have to say that, Fatima, the social worker in the story, should be in another line of work. She was difficult to work with and I give Cathy all the credit in the world for staying professional under the circumstances with her. Following the success of Damaged, you might imagine that a brand new author would have a bit of a cooling off period. This was not to be the case with Cathy Glass. Her next book, “Hidden” was published in 2008, and it was a success in its own right. This book had another memorable character at the center of it, only this child was a far cry different from the explosive Jodie character that Glass had written about in her first book. In the book Hidden, Tayo is the child that is described as being a polite, calm and mild-mannered child that was well spoken. But while he displayed excellent manners and was very well behaved, Tao was hiding a terrible past that no child should have had to live through.

I have two books coming out soon – one by Lisa Stone, The Gathering, out 3rd August, The other a Cathy Glass memoir, Unsafe. 31st August. I hope you enjoy them, x I am delighted to say that Unsafe has stayed at No 1 in the UK charts for a third week. Thank you for all your kind comments. They are very much appreciated. The more time Jodie spends with Cathy, the better her behaviour gets. Jodie slowly begins to reveal things about her past, and it becomes clear to Cathy that Jodie was abused. Her parents were involved in a paedophile ring, and Social Services ignored the obvious signs. It is obvious that Jodie needs psychiatric help, and she asks Social Services to fund it. instead, they take Jodie away.Congratulations to Cathy Glass whose latest fostering memoir Neglected has gone straight to no 1 on its first part week sales. Just heard from my publisher that Unwanted is still in the Top Ten! That’s week 8! Thank you so much for making this book a success. Cathy begins to fear for not only Harrison’s safety, but also that of her family. She finally demands answers from the social worker, and what she finds out is disturbing.
