I prefer to keep the apps light weight on the Nebula, keeping bare minimum apps, and only use casting, keeps it running smooth and solid! It doesn’t really get more portable than Anker’s beer can-sized Nebula Capsule Max, which is one of the lightest models on our list and definitely the easiest to manage when taking your movies out into the world with you. The lens is exposed and there’s no lid to cover it and prevent damage during transport. That’s a huge issue in terms of durability and this practically forces you to buy a case to avoid damaging the lens. Given the not-exactly-low price, some kind of protection would have been well accepted.

Other things I deeply appreciated about the Capsule Max is that it’s automatic adjustment for vertical position (Keystone) has been greatly improved, Anker has added autofocus, which in my experience performs exceptionally well, and a new adjustment was added for quadrilateral keystone, which makes it easier to get a solid rectangular image with the device positioned in a nonstandard way (such as mine, which projects onto the ceiling from a tripod on the side, requiring horizontal, vertical, -and- quadrilateral keystone adjustments. There’s a fan inside to cool the projector: it’s loud enough to be heard when you’re not watching anything, but as soon as you have a film on, the fan’s whir is drowned out. I have spent the past few months using the Nebula Capsule Max indoors, outdoors and all around. And I’ve been regularly using the Capsule II for close to a year.Finally, that lens features 1-second autofocus. Move the Capsule II by accident, and it should automatically adjust itself to reset the image clarity. If for whatever reason it doesn’t trigger, holding down the remote’s input selector should trigger the autofocus manually.
