About this deal

The Yongnuo Digital lenses copy the optical designs of the old Canon EOS lenses. Usually, first the version for Canon comes out, and after a while ñ for Nikon. Yongnuo does not produce lenses for other popular SLR systems (Pentax, Sony, Sigma, Micro 4/3). As for Yongnuo Digital teleconverters, now, they exist only for Canon EOS cameras. new version also available in white case, most likely for cameras with a white body color, such as the Canon 200D Focusing is performed by simultaneously moving the entire lens unit (all lenses) relative to the focal plane. Never and that was not what I have written. I was not clear in my last post: I think OTUS has very good to excellent corner sharpness wide open and sigma Art has good to very good c2c sharpness - I expect only good corner to corner sharpness for real photos and not for astronomy/reconnaissance/pixel peeping. My normal night focus tactic is to use a big flashlight to light up a distant tree and then use live view. With a lens like Samyang 24mm f/1.4 it is easy. It has a long, smooth focus. With the Yongnuo it is very tough as even a slight movement drastically changes focus. It was a slow and exacting time to focus. Then be careful not to bump the camera or lens (as it is loose in MF mode).

How will I tune in to a flashing with the subsequent autofocus adjustment, write about the sensations) For focusing, the YN50mm F1.8N uses the built-in micro-focus motor. The Nikon 50/1.8D does not have a built-in focus motor and is focused by the focusing motor built into the camera. This is one of the main functional differences between lenses.

If you search for it in yout ube you will see that the old Canon has much lower contrast in the corners and the sharpness PERCEPTION of the yongnuo wide open is better. But the bottom line is: Not much better wide open - doesn't improve while stopping it down. There’s a little pincushion distortion of a very similar amount to that of the Yongnuo YN85mm F1.8Z DF DSM lens. As with lateral chromatic aberration, however, in-camera correction is available. Verdict I treat the YN50mm F1.8N quite warmly and am glad that amateurs have the opportunity to buy a high speed 50 mm lens so cheap. In addition, I am glad that the YN50mm F1.8N is generally better than the Yongnuo Lens EF 50mm 1:1.8 for Canon. Only a pity that the version for Nikon is 1.5 times more expensive than the copy for Canon. The lens housing has a focus mode switch ‘AF/MF’ (auto focus / manual focus). During autofocus, the focus ring remains stationary, while it can be freely rotated 360 degrees without any effect on focusing. Key features include a 50mm focal length and f/1.8 aperture rating. This classic combination enables faster shutter speeds and a tighter depth of field than when using the vast majority of standard zoom lenses, in a more compact and lightweight build than typical f/1.4 and f/1.2 primes.

minus glasses YONGNUO 50mm is a bokeshka it is not tasty and not interesting. it is worse than Nikorov's. After some time, the letter ‘N’ was added to the lens name ñ YONGNUO O58mm YN50mm F1.8N. ‘N’ is an abbreviation for ‘Nikon’, after which the lens took on the form shown in this review. Standard prime lenses aren’t exactly ten a penny but there are plenty of inexpensive options, including the Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM, Sony FE 50mm f/1.8 and the slightly shorter Nikon Z 40mm f/2. This Yongnuo lens is a little pricier but has better build quality, more exotic handling and delivers excellent all-round performance and image quality. Bokeh could be a little smoother but, overall, it’s a great buy for both full-frame and APS-C format Nikon and Sony mirrorless cameras. I used manual focus on the Yongnuo 50 / 1.4 for two days, shooting more than two thousand frames in this mode. Manual focus is really convenient, although there are unpleasant little things described above.elements in 7 groups. The lens uses special optical elements with an extremely high refractive index (shown in blue)

Lens does not have internal focus, during focusing, the frame of the body ('trunk') moves forward about 2 centimeters, while front lens does not rotate. It is possible to use various filters without any problems. good sharpness on the open aperture both in the center of the frame and on the periphery of the image, F / 1.8 is fully operational

Sigma 50mm 1: 2.8 Macro EX, there was a copy of this lens under the name Quantaray 50mm 1: 2.8 Macro On covered apertures starting at about F / 2.8, distinguish between Yongnuo 50 / 1.4 and Canon 50 / 1.4 USM it will be extremely difficult. Yongnuo 50 / 1.8 II has a tangible 'Focus Breathing' effect (changes in viewing angle during focusing). During focusing towards the MDF, the viewing angle decreases. serious problems with focusing with some cameras ( 400D, 450D, at the same time, no significant problems with many other cameras)

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm 1: 1.8G SWM Aspherical Special Edition (the fifth version, MKV, is better known as the version of ‘Special Edition’ or ‘SE’ or the version for Nikon Df) – the lens has been released from the autumn of 2013. All lenses are manufactured in China. there is also the so-called blooming - strong and large red-violet halos on highly contrasting elements During focusing, there is no extension or rotation of the filter thread (analogue of the internal focusing) Important: Yongnuo 50 / 1.8 II is a third-party lens. It may happen that it will not work correctly with some Canon cameras. It is authentically known that:Unlike the Nikon 50/1.8D, during focusing, the YN50mm F1.8N does not have an extension of the barrel. It would be better if I immediately bought Sony \ Tamron \ Sigma and did not succumb to fairy tales about the great Chinese miracle.
