About this deal

Heat was well controlled during my runtime tests. At 1 minute I measured 85F, at 5 minutes I measured 87F, and at 10 Min I measured 90F. This is actually pretty cool for a modern light. Since the FC11 has springs on the head and tail, there’s nothing preventing usage of any type 18650. Flat top, button top, protected, unprotected – they all should work fine. There are two mode groups on the FC11. The default is stepped, which has five output levels, and no ramping. The second utilizes ramping. Alright, I will keep this short becuase this light is decently inexpensive and overall it is fine — not great, not bad — fine. Here’s the highlights: Bluetooth Speaker】Withthe built-inblue-toothmusic speakeryou can easily choose and play your favorite music while watching the aurora nebula cloud galaxy at night. You can also use a USBdish to play music.

While charging a fairly depleted cell, I recorded a maximum of 1A of input current.Of course, the input current decreased as the battery got closer to its full capacity. The light can be charged with USB-C, no functionality though. I think that’s find given the smaller battery size here, but feels like the feature should be there.Wurkkos TD01-Nice Andy sturdy flashlight with a truly amazing range! Love the tactical mode and the overall finish. Oh, and btw, can someone point a good place to buy 18650 battery in EU? Sorry I know this was posted somewhere, but I can't find it now.. The flashlight has a voltage indicator built in to the main switch. It will be green if your battery is at or over a 30% charge, red if you are under 30 % and the red will start to flash if a battery change/charge is required. That aside, ive looked at the sheets , and a few videos of them, and the FC12 seems to just be a slightly longer but thinner, and more advanced version of the FC11. It has an additional moonlight mode, and better high/ turbo efficiency, but is there any other significant difference between them? It looks like the FC12 is less floodly than the FC11 , but I cant tell if thats because it actually has less flood (which isnt exactly desirable), or if it just looks like that because it's modes are just more powerful. Im leaning towards the FC12 over the FC11 if the usb c to c charging works and there is no other major difference in favor of the FC11. I consider “very warm” lights to be fantastic for around the house at night lights. Lights that won’t be abrasive, and potentially disturb sleepers with their coolness. The 2700K of this light is perfect in that regard. Also the high CRI (or “higher” CRI at 90) is great for this purpose, too.

This image below is just all in fun – the cell tube is completely gone here. But wouldn’t this be a fun little light! (Shorter than an 18350 version, though.) The head houses an orange-peel reflector and the LH351D emitter. I choose to get the LH351D 5000K 90CRI variant. The centering of the LED is perfect. There’s a couple of headline features with this light: Anduril 2 and USB-C charging with powerbank functionality. Anduril is one of the only name brand (if you will) flashlight control systems you are going to come across. With just one button you get control of a mountain of custom options, and so far, it is an easier system to customize than any other I have come across. Two stand out features which really work well for this light: A magnet is in the tailcap, and this magnet is adequate strength for holding even in a horizontal position.

The Wurkkos FC11 is using the Samsung LH351D LED, in 5000k and is also considered high CRI at 90. This is a great LED to use, and one of the light communities favorites right now because of it’s high CRI and neutral tint. It’s also my first time getting a hold of this LED and I am a fan. Mine seems to be pretty neutral with just the slightest tint of green but I have heard of others getting a more green tinted LED. That’s how the bin lottery works unfortunately. The light uses an orange peel reflector behind a non AR glass. The beam profile here is does have a bit of a hot center, but fades nicely into spill. No undesirable rings or artifacts in the beam itself. Good for general use. Cell installation is normal – positive end toward the head. You can remove the tailcap or the head to install the cell. My first go with Wurrkos in the FC11 went well — it was a good enough light that I felt I couldn’t just toss it aside in an emergency bag as I had intended to do. Because of this, I’ve been keeping my eye on what Wurkkos is doing: they make budget lights, but they are well made and use nice LEDs in many of them. The TS21 might be the epitome of all of this: it is a fantastic, even before you consider the low price. Not usure how or how tightly Wurkkos and Sofirn are tied. Best case, the presence of (real?) USB-C charging means Sofirn will adopt it soon.

Aside from some UI details, the FC11 is an excellent design for its purpose and price point. I can think of competitors for twice the price or more that really ought to have springs on both ends of the battery tube, a better button design, or a better choice of LED like the FC11 does. Execution There's PWM on all levels aside from maximum, but it's very fast and only detectable with instruments. Both head and tail have big beefy springs, and if you notice carefully on the head end, there’s a “+” for cell direction.

I’m trying to decide which one is better. I think I’m leaving towards the sofrin. Both are good and I’m having a hard time choosing.
