About this deal

A tried and tested kit to solve the common stalling and idle problems. The BoosterPlug fuel injection tuning kit is designed to eliminate the usual fuel injection problems that haunts all modern motorcycles. The too lean air/fuel mixture on the standard bike will make idle and low speed running weak, and the throttle action will be horribly on/off like. The small controlled fuel enrichment with the BoosterPlug will solve the common fuel injection problems and make your motorcycle easier and safer to ride. Am I going to rush out and buy a Booster Plug? Nope; but I may consider one after careful further consideration. Quote from: pokeyjoe on April 05, 2015, 11:55:02 AM That was due to a FatDuc (O2 sensor signal modifier). There are only three ways to fool an ECU: Pete is right keep clear of plug-in foolers on the newer ecus they can bring the down the fuel air ratio down to very rich conditions.

This may work on machines with a 15m-RC controller but I really, REALLY, [REALLY/size] advise against it on machines using the W5AM. Please, don't even think about it.Before you balance the TB's make sure you understand how to do it. DO NOT TOUCH THE THROTTLE STOP SCREW ON THE LH THROTTLE BODY! and be aware that you will need to re-calibrate the TPS after the bodies have been balanced so I'd advise against doing anything until you have Guzzidiag and the necessary cables. BoosterPlug Fuel Injection Tuning - Your Motorcycle will love you for it. The BoosterPlug is accepted worldwide as the best possible fuel injection tuning method- and will transform your motorcycle from ”OK” to ”Absolutely marvelous”. Looking to revive this thread as I am looking into options of going full system and get rid of cat. How did people get on with booster plugs and the Ninja? There seems to be a huge amount of debate around the effectiveness of booster plugs online with a lot of people saying they don't work on bikes with more modern ecu's. I have also seen some conflicting dyno results perhaps further validating the claim that there effectiveness is limited on certain models. Just wondering if anyone has been running one for a while on their ninja and could comment. I was also wondering too if anyone has bothered to go "the whole hog" and actually install a/f gauge to also monitor the effectiveness of booster plug in real time. FatDuc - modifies O2 sensor input - closed loop only. Dangerous because we don't know everything we need to know about how the ECU uses the signal.

Wiser Smart Plug – indispensable for your smart home setup

I made a DIY version using a diode to reduce the voltage going to the O2 sensor. Dirt cheap when done yourself, and the results were fine at low-mid rpm. The problem with interfering with the air temperature sensor is that it is only one of a number of sensors that influence the ecu so in isolation it will not help much. You can do much the same thing with Guzzidiag by editing the air temperature/pressure table but unless the lambda sensor is switched off again not a lot will be gained. ECU tuning/Dyno Tune. With a good to great dyno tuner, you will likely get the very best results. All the advantages of the above, but with the ability to adjust for your exact motorcycle in your exact environment. Ambient air intake modifier - tells the ECU it's colder outside. Most the cheap versions are just a resister. But resisters tend to vary resistance based on temperature so they are not linear and you may over fuel the bike as well. The BoosterPlug propaganda suggests that they have compensated for this and come with another air temp sensor to provide a reference reading. Supposed to be linear. BoosterPlug link. The BoosterPlug tuning module is installed in less than 10 minutes. It plugs directly into your motorcycles wiring harness using original connectors, No cutting or splicing wires, no complicated programming, no problems.ECU tuner (FTECU, Woolich, Aracer, etc). Can reprogram the motorcycle yourself, sometimes even using your phone. Store multiple maps, use PC5 maps, and allow you to adjust a lot of the parameters. Can cost as much as a dyno tune, or more, but totally worth it. 2nd best overall option. Is the book a plug for the Booster Plug? Yep, but the author admits that from the start. What I like about the book is that it fairly treats the various solutions to fuel mapping, and debunks a few myths too. Free collection in 2 - 5 working days from our Hampton Hill (Middlesex) or Chessington (Surrey) Branches I used to use a Twinmax to balance my throttle bodies on my BMW's and could really get those motors to run smooth. Is this the best tool to use for the Guzzi or is there something better? Thanks,

If you’re looking for HP, race mods or great acceleration, this isn’t what you need. I would look at the Rapid Bike EVO because of its auto-tune & custom map capabilities. The Wise Plug-in IP54 Booster is used to increase the signal range. This products requires a 240V supply. It amplifies and boosts the signal range to 150 metres. I'm not anti Booster Plug but I do view it as a poor mans ECU flash. I think you would be better off putting that money towards an ECU flash where the fuel mapping is altered at every point across the rev range more accurately. Around 70% of UK homes do not have the minimum level of controls meaning that thousands of people are missing out on the cost savings they can bring.I honestly plan on doing the ECU flash from Norton's and probably selling the Booster Plug on the cheap side. No need to spend a fortune on a complicated Power Commander kit + endless Dyno hours to make your bike run as it should have done from the factory.
