I’m keen in particular for more about Dani’s past – her police officer father and her partner, and the impact of the incident that derailed her career. This book was one of the best I have read in a long while!! I found it so engrossing and barely put it down until it was finished. Set in a fictional area of London, the book is about Ben Harper, a crime journalist, whose older brother was murdered 20 years ago by two girls in the same class. As the 20th anniversary of the crime approaches another murder brings more evidence to light. I really enjoyed this book, it was a great thriller with loads of characters, lots of inter-connecting stories , I was totally engrossed in it. Its told from multiple points of view and stretches over 20 years and I couldn't put it down. Just the first step of sharing your novel is a huge one, so when you then start working with an editor in a considerable amount of detail that is a very different experience. Your editor gets to know your book almost as well as you do and suddenly something you have already worked on for a considerable amount of time has somebody else putting forward ideas and suggesting changes. The storyline is believable as are the characters and this makes it a brilliant story to get lost in. Character development was thorough, and I enjoyed getting to know the various personalities that made up the town. I’ve developed a relationship with Ben – crucial when this is the start of a series. I really do look forward to reading more about him.
