About this deal

Channel Islands, including Jersey and Guernsey (Sark, Alderney and Herm are an additional 1 days delivery from Guernsey) 48 Hour Dispatch Service Totem Infernal Power is available from Smyths and Argos, for just 9.99 and is a great way to spend some fun family time together at home, doing something a bit different. They're based in convenient locations including supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Plus they're often open late and on Sundays.

You get a launcher that you must press the top button down on, then push your spinner into and turn, so you are in essence winding the spinner up. Once you cannot turn it anymore you then launch the spinner by pressing the button again on the top. You get 5 different size spinning tops ranging from large to small ones. Each spinner has a metal tip to spin them on, which cleverly when placed on top of the one below makes them light up using the different coloured LEDs inside them. Take it in turn to see who can build the tallest tower and if you all get all five spinners onto your tower, start timing to see who’s spins for the longest. Also Infernal Cry's debuff scales from "power" of enemies in range. I couldn't mind any concrete info on how that works. The Ash debuff according to the wiki, makes enemies take 20% increased fire damage, have 20% less movement speed and lasts 4 seconds. First off, we have to say prepare yourself to not get any instructions with this game and whilst in the most the game is very self-explanatory so we can understand this, we still struggled a bit trying to work out how to use the launcher, probably just an “Us Issue” as Dad’s worked it out straight away lol! We loved this game, and it is up there as one of the ones that keep getting played in our house. It is one of those games that all members of the family enjoyed from the little kids to adults and its one that makes everyone equal, so kids feel like they really do have the chance to beat the parents. Anna Marikar, mum of four and seasoned blogger, has spent over a decade sharing her parenting journey and passion for kid-friendly crafts and free printables.

Frustrating is for sure a thing you will need to overcome with this game along with the acceptance of it being your new addiction as you just want to keep trying to beat the tower! We’ve also started living a more eco-friendly life. As such I also write about our zero waste journey in a bid to encourage others to think about the impact they have on the environment. Even my youngest was very tempted to have a go with the spinning tops too, although it’s realistically too hard for very young kids to succeed, she still had so much fun watching the rest of the family and feeling involved by having a little try. We would have no problem in recommending this to any family looking for a fun board game to add to their collection as it was a real winner with us, nice and robust pieces and it’s not too expensive as well…. Oh and Top Tip if you want to really Push this Challenging Game to the Limits, why not try it Blindfolded! This year we’re passionate about spending time outdoors. We’ll be sharing our travel, days out and camping adventures right here on Twin Mummy and Daddy.
