About this deal

The humour of the story I think is rather refreshing. It's not the main point of the story, but serves more as like... a garnish of sorts. The story itself can be rather dense with a lot of information (particularly regarding System stuff like grinding/practicing skills, etc.) which, personally, i am not a fan of in most works. The primal Hunter is no exception to this dislike, but I feel like the other parts of the story lift it up; the moments of humour in-between also certainly helps. During the integration of the 93rd universe, Jake Thayne is able to enter the Viper's divine realm through a challenge dungeon created in the first era. Jake encourages the Viper to not give up on life, leading the Viper to grant him a True Blessing, and shortly after, exit his divine realm.

One Step Mile (Ancient)] ——> [One Step, Thousand Miles (Legendary)] – A single step is sometimes enough to cross vast distances. It is said that the very space between the user and their foes shrinks with every footfall. By drawing on the concept of space, this skill allows the user to cross far longer distances with every step than otherwise. Note that there must be a path between you and your target. Grants a noticeable bonus to the effectiveness of Endurance and Agility when using One Step, Thousand Miles. Which was also the reason why Jake agreed on going to lunch. Because with Jacob along, he knew it wouldn’t be entirely awkward. Jake was first to claim a Pylon. With survivors like Miranda, and Neil’s group populating his small city, Jake focused mostly on his own personal strength by facing stronger opponents around his city and dungeons below. He also made friends with D-Rank hawks: Hawkie, Mystie and Sylphie.Jake himself was what one would describe as rather average in the looks department. Not too fat, not too slim, short brown hair, brown eyes, and a face that couldn’t be described as handsome nor ugly. The author is forever juggling and if he does not catch the ball, then it is over, a failed clown if he catches, an unsung hero. So honestly respect to the author to take it on himself to try to pull a story out of this doomed genre. And it can be a great story too. It was just another boring Monday morning. The sparse rays of sunlight that found their way through the blinders’ narrow gaps did little to disturb the man sleeping deeply on the bed. However, the serene peace was short-lived as the accursed sound of his alarm began its daily ritual of ruining a good dream. Archery of Vast Horizons (Rare)] ——> [Archery of Expanding Horizons (Epic)] - An Archer’s best friend is the bow in his hand and the arrow in his foe’s heart. As your horizons expand, you realize flaws and build upon a foundation to make that expansion everpresent. You do not shy away from mixing archery with magic and making your arrows arbiters of your will. Your arrows will cross all horizons and bend over any obstacle to pierce your target, with only your own will limiting the possibilities. Allows you to apply your will to control the trajectory of arrows before releasing them. Adds a small bonus to the effect of Agility and Strength when using a ranged weapon. Adds a small damage bonus to all arrows based on distance traveled and Perception. Arrow trajectory control based on Willpower. But outside of those minor things, this is a remarkably fun story. The MC isn't near as stupid as a lot of them (outside of his let's just throw all my stats into perception, then cry about people who only focus on 1 or 2 stats....). The gear is handled decently, and it's good to see the author finding ways to keep the MC in clothing instead of running around for 200 chapters in bloody ragged clothing. The abilities are fun for the most part, I like how a lot of that is handled, even if I think that the MC passes over a lot of skills and powers that I think would have been better choices (I know, not my story but I'm still entilted to my opinion.). The characters outside of the idiots in the introduction are pretty good, way to many of the people in the beginning of the story seemed to be focused around the authors views on someone being a Psychopath, or a Sociopath and from my own experiences he missed out on some VERY important key parts of their personalities. /shrug but oh their dead so it's not really an issue anymore.

Now the Author is rushing to finish it after spending a long time spent talking about unnecessary stuff. Zogarth writes beautiful descriptions in excellent prose that pulls you in. The dynamic has some great preshifts and there is also some underlying humor that works very well too. The Primal Hunter” by Zogarth opens on what seems like an ordinary day, where Jake has to deal with dangers, monsters, and opportunities. Jake, previously enjoying the sweet embrace of his blankets, was startled awake, fumbling around until his hand finally found his phone. Grumbling, he rolled out of bed and started his usual morning routine, preparing for yet another day at work. As he sat there, having finished up the most immediate tasks, he began to feel a bit tired once more, clearly having not gotten enough sleep. Most others in the office had learned by now that he wasn’t one for small talk, so most left him alone. Just the way he wanted it.

Level 20: [Basic Shadow Vault of Umbra (Uncommon)] – The power of shadows is an often used tool for anyone looking to escape. Tapping in to the Records of Umbra, embrace the shadows for a brief moment, becoming ethereal. Allows the Archer to momentarily become one with the shadows. Can only be used in straight lines. Adds a small bonus to the effect of Agility and Wisdom when using Basic Shadow Vault of Umbra. Ambitious Hunter [ ]

Jake had worked in this office for a bit over two years now. His job was what many would describe as boring, yet he somehow found it peaceful to immerse himself in the spreadsheets, financial reports, and whatnot. He worked in the financial department, and if he said so himself, he was rather good at what he did. Jake Thayne is the main protagonist of the fiction. With the Earth being integrated with the System. He started with the advantages of having the bloodline of The Primal Hunter and being fairly good at archery. Level 200: [Big Game Arcane Hunter (Epic)] ——> [Horizon-Chasing Big Game Arcane Hunter (Ancient)] – A true hunter seeks not the easy prey but a true challenge. Your hunt has taken you further than ever before as your methods improve, and you have embraced the Arcane. As you forever chase the horizon, you have become more accustomed to facing higher-level enemies. Increases the user’s resistance to auras and gives a small increase to Strength, Agility, Intelligence, and Willpower, and a substantial increase to Perception while facing enemies above your class or race level. The bonus is based on the disparity between the level of your prey and you. Limit of 1.30x your level or 75 levels, whichever is highest. May your hunt take you toward the horizon. And he also likes boosting his Ego by seeing the system praise his achievements with the first couple skills. One Step, Thousand Miles (Legendary)] ——> [One Step, Thousand Miles (Ancient)] Arcane Hunter of Horizon’s Edge Skills [ ] All in all? Jake was content with his life. He had a well-paying job, a good family, a nice apartment, great colleagues, and his future was looking bright if he said so himself. He wasn’t an extraordinary person, but just another face in the crowd. And he kind of liked it that way. Standing out meant unnecessary attention, and he would prefer to avoid that. Lesser Blessing of the Malefic Viper (Blessing - Lesser)] – Be recognized by the Malefic Viper himself. Few throughout the ages have found themselves blessed by a Primordial, despite the desire for so many to be. +5% Wisdom. Grants access to many new paths. Only one blessing can be held at a time.
