About this deal

The issue with the book is that the parts involving Alexandria are confusing and non-sensical. From what I could understand, her and two others have styled themselves as gods but there is some truth to her claim because the Flare has somehow given them superhuman powers and longevity. The three are known as the Godhead and Alexandria is obsessed with releasing the Flare variants to the population. I had a difficult time connecting with the characters as well since there is very little tied to the original series. I kept waiting for some big reveal to make these characters mean something to me, and there was one thing, but it was mentioned so casually that I was just like: *shrug* "okay". The characters just seemed very two-dimensional on the surface (except for Minho and Roxie, I really wish the entire book would've been about them), and then to have almost no connection to the other characters that I loved from The Maze Runner, I don't know, I just wasn't interested in their story. When Thomas wakes up in a lift, the only thing he can remember is his name. He’s surrounded by strangers – boys whose memories are also gone. Thomas Minho Teresa i Love you especially you Thomas you are god's perfect idiot and you did nothing wrong in your life ever. i didn't actually mean what i said im just silly like that Aris Jones (books2–3, 5) is the only male member in a group of female teenagers called GroupB. He is named after Aristotle. His subject number is B1, and his title is "the partner".

Ultimately, everybody involved is kidnapped by the Remnant Nation who have revived some Bergs. They band together and manage to escape. I enjoyed the subtle connections to the first trilogy. Just enough to intrigue me but to let these characters still stand on their own.The Maze Cutter" explores the lives of descendants from the original series and new members from two other factions almost a century after the original series ended. on the topic of like, barely developing literally anything in this book, barely anything was developed in this book. endless descriptions of who went where and saw what, no thoughts heads absolutely empty. idk what these people were feeling half the time.

The plot isn't bad, but it kind of felt like not much happened. Mostly it was showing the reader how the Cranks have evolved and what the world is like now, as well as bringing characters together. I did like Minho and Roxy's relationship, they evolved into a son and mother kind of thing and it was pretty cute. Minho was by far the most fleshed out character and he was still cardboard. At least he had the excuse of being in a cult. There hasn’t been any explanation for the discrepancy, but I suspect it has something to do with the promise Penguin Random House made to stop publishing Dashner’s books following sexual harassment allegations in 2018. (More on that later.) Instead, he has gone with Akashic Media Enterprises for his newest books, which is . . . an interesting choice. (Hint: I don’t think he had a choice.) The Maze Runner Books Chronologically Overall, I was really disappointed with this. I didn’t hate it, per se, but I was just really underwhelmed. There were some things I liked- the premise of the contrasting religions was interesting, even if it wasn’t executed terribly well, and I was living for any actual reference to the original characters. But this felt like a cash grab, I’m sorry to say. The writing felt rushed and it felt like the publishers wanted to make money off of the fans of the Maze Runner.Teresa Agnes (books1–5) is a GroupA Glader and a creator of the Maze with Thomas, named after Mother Teresa. She appears in book4 under her original name Deedee. Her subject number is A1, and her title is "the betrayer". Anita Busch (August 29, 2016). " 'The Maze Runner: The Death Cure' Will Restart Production In February". Deadline Hollywood . Retrieved August 30, 2016. The first three Maze Runner books were adapted to the big screen during the dystopian craze of the early 2010s that saw the likes of The Hunger Games and Divergent rake it in. Thankfully, the third book was not split into two parts. The first three books are the ones that James Dashner Controversy If you liked the Maze Runner, I think there are some gems in this for you. Specifically notes from Newt's diary and seeing how he went on after being infected to live a life and have some kids. It was cool seeing how those on the Island lived for a time in peace. But there isn't much development beyond that. When we finally see the cranks, some are mindless and others have pulled themselves out of that to be better. There isn't a lot of exploration of the world and what there is, just left a lot of questions. You know that feeling when you get excited about a new book because it is from a beloved universe and then you start reading and it's an utter disappointment? Well this is how I feel. The original series should have stayed as it was. In my opinion it ended well with no need for new stories.

We'll see if this series can hold my interest for the following books, but for now, this was an enjoyable read. Disturbing deaths and rituals; characters that feel as if they are “gods” and thus demand worship and lord over other characters with little regard to their safety & lives; LGBQT+ characters; loss of parents. The new additions of the Godhead and the Remnant Nation were ok. Between the two, the Remnant Nation makes more sense, but I'll take what I can get from Dashner. I don't want to put more thought into it than he did.Because in this new, devastated world, every life has a price. And to some, you’re worth more dead than alive. I will admit that i found some new aspects confusing, but i still enjoyed it overall, and I'm drawn in by the new organisations that have sprouted up following the conclusion of the death cure. I do wish that we got more insight to each of the characters, but i adored the book all the same. Outside of her writing career, Rayleigh married her high school sweetheart –a U.S. Marine–in 2019. She’s a Junior in college with a major in Accounting and works as an accountant for 2 commercial construction companies in Texas. What we do get here is a confusing story which introduces way too many new concepts that suggest that previous fans are just that die-hard over the series that they will just trust whatever Dashner writes enough to consume this and wait for a sequel. But when this new series introduction is so weak, I honestly doubt there will be much interest in it going forward. On top of that, one of the biggest gripes that Maze Runner critics have with the series is the persistent heightening of stakes and thrills without satisfying answers or a good payoff at the end. This new installment amplifies that weakness of the series.
