About this deal

The Normans were still building timber structures but Corfe Castle was constructed using stone walls, reaffirming its importance and dominating the landscape of the defeated English. Beside them, in what is now the west bailey, William built a stone hall, the remains of which are the oldest surviving part of the castle. We think he employed local masons, as the herringbone construction style is distinctively Saxon. Corfe was strategically important to William and his successors because it defended their links with the Norman heartlands across the Channel. Constructed for a King Lesley is a complex character who has a lot going on in her life. I feel that there is more to her than meets the eye and I hope this is further explored as the book series progresses. Investigations soon indicate that the law firm may have links with the local mafia. Further investigations indicate that Lesley’s girlfriend Elsa was the legal representative in the many cases handled by the organization.
