About this deal

The clear parts, with canopy, sensors, and large nose gear LED landing light are sharp and crystal clear. Open and closed canopy options are available, with separate actuators. Also included is a crew ladder. However, mine was broken and I had to add a piece to make it work. Next to the exhaust tips and nozzles, the landing gear struts, wheels, and separate brake hubs are the most detailed parts in this kit. The weapons are also good, but I haven’t seen the real aircraft with them attached. Imagine if Boeing were to market F/A-18 Super Hornets or F-15 Silent Eagles with Enclosed Weapons pod and weapon bays as a ‘Stealth aircraft’ along the lines of 5th gen. aircraft, how do you think they would compare to F-35?,’ says Abhirup Sengupta, an aviation expert, on Quora. In the Russian inventory, the Su-57 will move in to take over the roles held by the large Sukhoi Su-27/Su-37 "Flanker" family as well as the lightweight Mikoyan MiG-29 "Fulcrum" (all 4th Generation Fighters). Both of these lines have gone on to see much use in the global market resulting in a myriad of variants and configurations. The Su-57 will also move along the joint Russian-Indian FGFA (Fifth Generation Fighter Aircraft) program for the near future - an agreement reached between the two nations in 2001 - with results expected to be introduced sometime in 2015. This aircraft and will be based highly on the developmental findings of the Russian PAK FA/T-50/Su-57 program with India intending to purchasing some 250 FGFA fighters at project's end.

Su-57, Zvezda 7319 (2019) - Scalemates

July 2016: It was announced that the T-50 prototypes had completed their initial flight tests by Sukhoi covering some 700 total flights. These examples will now move into state testing. RUSSIA - SEPTEMBER 27, 2019: A Sukhoi S-70 Okhotnik heavy unmanned combat aerial vehicle after the ... [+] first joint flight with a Sukhoi Su-57 jet fighter. As part of a testing programme, Okhotnik has performed a fully unmanned flight into an airborne alert area. Video screen grab/Russian Defence Ministry/TASS (Photo by TASS\TASS via Getty Images) TASS Painting digital camo was a bit concerning. Zvezda provides no stencils or masks, so you’re on your own. Many companies make masks for digital camo. I traced mine off a flat-screen TV with a pencil from images I found on Google and transferred the graphite to masking tape. It worked, but you may have a better idea. Zvezda and Tamiya colors are listed on the side of the box. It was Tamiya for me.

Drone-control is becoming a standard feature in next-generation fighter concepts like the U.K.’s Tempest, the Franco-German FCAS and the U.S.’s two NGAD programs. The current Su-57 one will get a pair of excellent lightweight FMS inrunner fans, I have those already, balanced and ready to go : Air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles; guided bombs across internal (two or four internal bays) and up to six external hardpoints.

Zvezda Kit No. 4820 -Sukhoi Su-57 Felon Review by John Miller

The exhaust nozzles are well represented with good amounts of detail. The separate flame holders are plastic and look the part when complete. With no photo-etched metal parts provided, Zvezda did a good job making them look realistic. MOSCOW REGION, RUSSIA AUGUST 30, 2019: A fifth-generation Sukhoi Su-57 jet fighter performs a ... Sergei Bobylev/TASS (Photo by Sergei Bobylev\TASS via Getty Images) Sergei Bobylev/TASS The bare kit comes with : a complete foam airframe, some hardware, metal struts & part metal retracts, and two 70mm plastic fans. A two-seater Su-57B could potentially become the first two-seat stealth fighter in service, though there are rumorsChina is developing a two-seat version of its Chengdu J-20 stealth fighter too.

In the Russian, "PAK FA" translates to "Future Air Complex - Tactical Air Forces". The Su-57 has been developed somewhat jointly through a partnership between Russia and India to which India has contributed as much as 35% to date. The Indian intent is to benefit from the program by procuring their own PAK FA-based 5th gen fighter in the coming decade. Serial production for the T-50 is slated for 2015 and the first public unveiling of the prototype was shown during the MAKS 2011 Air Show just outside of Moscow in August of 2011. Four prototypes has been completed to date (2013) with a fifth under construction. State trials are expected for 2014. However, such prospects remain murky due to uncertainty as to how India will balance its relationships with Washington and Moscow, and the many years before any export-model Su-57s, let alone two-seaters, become available. By then, Ankara and New Delhi may well prefer to spend money on domestic stealth fighter programs instead. They are excellent quality and easily programmable - using the right prog card - for twin 4-pole inrunner motors (as in the current FMS inrunner fans). The kit version comes with what look like two possibly decent fans, with a heavy metal spinner. I won't use them.

December 2017 - It was announced that a T-50-2 prototype went airborne with new engines known generically as the "Izdelie 30". However, there aren’t any two-seater stealth fighters so far because a stretching out a stealth jet while maintaining low-radar-observable geometry is more difficult and costly than it would be for a conventional fighter. Finesse thus will be required to refashion the Su-57 without compromising its stealth characteristics. Most likely though routing the servo wires will be a pain (the kit version does not come pre-wired, unlike the Freewing arf-plus versions). August 2017 - Sukhoi revealed the official product designation for its T-50 advanced 5th Generation Fighter to be "Su-57". The model looks like a SU-57 Felon. All parts of the model were made in full accordance with the original. Each dynamical part is separated and has correct pivot points, that allow easy animation and use in games.

Consider that while Okhotnik could be pre-programmed to perform missions autonomously, it might still be desirable to have a platform that can stealthily penetrate enemy airspace alongside S-70s and maintain a short-range command link allowing for more flexible employment of the drone and relaying of its surveillance data in event that its satellite-communications link is compromised. I will use a twin set of excellent FMS 70mm inrunner motor fans (that I already have, already balanced),

But how can a pilot flying a single-seat fighter adequately supervise drones while also managing his own aircraft? Likely what’s needed is robust artificial intelligence that could broadly but faithfully interpret simple instructions from said pilot, while reacting autonomously to rapidly developing combat situations. In other words, a robot to help control other robots. In August of 2012, the T-50 prototype began flight testing its Active, Electronically-Scanned Array (AESA) radar suite. I am using - as in the Su-47 and Su-35 twins - twin YEP (chinese YGE clones, https://www.yge.de/en/home-2/ ) 80A esc. Plastic sprue (Clear), Plastic sprue (Light gray), Decalsheet (waterslide) (Multi-colored), Instructions (Paper) (Multi-colored) August 2019 - Russian state news has reported that serial production of the Su-57 has begun. Russia has committed to an initial batch of 76 fighters. Initial deliveries are expected in late-2019 or 2020.So far as I know, Zvezda has the only 1/48 scale Su-57 on the market right now. With the Su-57 Felon being Russia’s fifth-generation fighter, it’s no surprise Zvezda released it first. I’ve built a few of their kits over the years, and they have been impressive. This kit is no exception. Although, only with 249 parts and many of those being weapons, the kit is simple to build and, except for a couple of instances, gets all the details you would expect to see on a modern stealthy fighter. The configuration of the Sukhoi Su-57 Felon is an evolution of the Su-27’s shape adapted for the requirements of low visibility and supersonic speed and agility.
