About this deal

His many inventions, including the steerable cardiac catheter, helped pioneer the biomedical engineering industry. What is autodidact, Itzhak Bentov's model of quantum consciousness? Is the universe really a hologram? How does reality fit into a quantum mechanical framework? What are the implications on human consciousness?

Stalking The Wild Pendulum: Chapter 1 - Sound, Waves, and Stalking The Wild Pendulum: Chapter 1 - Sound, Waves, and

I read this book as a teenager, after seeing it on my father's shelf since I was a kid. We'd discussed science, and my father had tried to explain quantum science to me, or at least the little be understood. So when I started reading this book I was excited. What the author lays out is perfectly congruent with all the other material known to me on this topic - Too many different authors and theorems to list them all here without breaching the scope of this book alone, but they're all talking about the same basic conception while merely giving it different names. Those who have also studied this particular and closely associated topics in-depth over the years will probably be able to guess which other theoretical frameworks i'm refering to here precisely. Apart from these more or less obscurantist forays into the eclectic and esoteric, the author actually does strive to provide an objective-as-possible description of the actual "mechanism" driving what we call (ordinary, waking-state) "consciousness", and goes well beyond that scope as well. A paraphysical odyssey....Dazzles the imagination and causes you to rethink everything you ever thought you knew about the nature of reality.... A landmark in man’s new attempts to integrate realities within and without.”

We are pulsating beings in a vibrating universe, in constant moti between the finite and the infinite. It is with a great sense of pleasure that I write this preface to the first book by my remarkable friend, Itzhak Bentov, who is known to all as Ben. If you leaf through this book, you will see a lot of diagrams, and you may have the impression that this is a technical or even a scientific book. Well, don’t worry about that. I myself am a fairly stupid fellow who could not learn any mathematics at all. In fact, my brush with academia was a rather short one: I was expelled from the kindergarten at the age of four for some alleged subversive activities and have never managed to resume normal studies since, not to mention graduating from anyplace. So my mind has remained blank and unspoiled by higher learning. A ground-breaking work. Clear, imaginative, and inspiring, it offers a revolutionary image of the human mind and universe.” Therefore, I do not claim that the information contained here is the final truth, but I hope that it will stimulate more thinking and speculation by future scientists and interested laymen. With a Forward by the world class physicist, Dr. William A. Tiller, Professor Emeritus of Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University, Stalking The Wild Pendulum is a must read! About Us: History". Boston Scientific.
