About this deal

Elastic laces are a great addition: hold is not compromised but it provides the right amount of give on a longer run. And you even got two pairs of different colors to choose from! Jeremy/Renee The step-in is so comfortable, as for every Saucony road shoe that I’ve owned (lots of Kinvaras, and a Mirage). Perhaps my feet go well with Saucony uppers, but some of my acquaintances have the same feeling: Saucony’s uppers are plush. I really feel like stepping in an old pair of slippers, comfy, cozy, plush without any excess of material. I recently bought a pair of Saucony triumph 19 size 11 (45 EU) and noticed that the left shoe weighs 309 grams while the right 323. For those doing long training days that possibly start or end in the dark, there’s a great reflective strip on the heel of this shoe that lights up brightly when needed, keeping you safer in low light. Otherwise, the Triumph 19 is simply a better shoe, more comfortable, equally durable, more breathable.

DPT/Footwear Science: B (Upper refinements and sidewalls are good, though the outsole with a deep flex groove through the midfoot does not seem to do great for the transition) The midsole is where this shoe shines and, as Kyle mentions, is almost too good to be true. The 32.5-24.5 mm of PWRRUN+ is uber soft, especially in the forefoot. As a forefoot striker, I appreciate the amount of cushion upfront as I often feel left out from the HOKA and big cush party. It’s a smooth ride that almost lulls you to sleep, which makes this a great easy/recovery day shoe. The Triumph 19 is just relaxed, without a care in the world, and that’s how you run in this shoe. That midsole combined with a durable, blown rubber outsole makes this shoe a reliable trainer to turn to when you’re feeling beat up or dealing with injury. There are a few small things that I don’t quite understand about this shoe. For example, I (and it seems like society) would’ve preferred a flared heel counter, which is industry standard now. Also, it just feels like this shoe should have a pull tab. I’m not a tab addict like some runners out there, but it definitely would have a spot on this one. At the rear, the heel counter is rigid and padded, while the heel collar provides a snug fit for a soft foothold. The gusseted tongue is less padded than on the previous version (presumably to shave some more weight), but it doesn’t impact the comfort. The RW Takeaway: The Triumph 19 is a mileage base builder, post-marathon recovery shoe, and workhorse trainer. Yes, Saucony’s softest shoe is also its most versatile. The Triumph 19 fits true to size and accommodates slightly wider feet like mine nicely. The toe box has plenty of room for my toes to run happily. In summary, 2021 is a very good vintage for the Saucony Triumph, with a new version rich in improvements. We see little reason to pass upon it, especially if you’re looking for a comfortable premium shoe for your long runs.

Adidas Adios 6 review - A complete retake on the workout trainer, featuring lightstrike pro in the forefootAsics Novablast 2- Not entirely a max cushioned, but still a highly, highly cushioned trainer that does recovery well I didn’t love the slightly stretchy laces, and there’s a small tab that holds the bottom lace that gets in the way of the normal location of my Stryd pod. Those are literally the biggest gripes I can find-Jeff
