About this deal

I found Marco Reading’s interpretation of many of the prophecies required and enormous stretch of the imagination. Some of the claims were very sketchy and some were plain ridiculous. There are errors: Britain ceding from the EU (2060) it happened in 2020 40 years earlier; XCXXXXXXXX Nostradamus developed some very progressive methods for dealing with the plague. He didn’t bleed his patients, instead practicing effective hygiene and encouraging the removal of the infected corpses from city streets. The beauty of Nostradamus is you can read whatever you wish into what he wrote. What some may consider his charlatanry is, viewed from another angle, his genius, says Everett F Blieler, author, under the pseudonym Liberte E LeVert, of Prophecies and Enigmas of Nostradamus: “Circumlocution and evasion of directness play a large part. He usually waffled in his astrological datings, since conjunctions are repeated. He invoked obscure Latin words to create possibilities of double meanings; he omitted prepositions, articles, reflexives and connectives, and favoured the infinitive as a timeless, personless form that can be read many ways.” So while Reading's book did correctly predict that Queen Elizabeth II would pass away in 2022 aged 96—with her eldest son, King Charles II, succeeding her—Nostradamus did not make any mention of the monarch in his credited quatrain. Nor is there any definitive link between the year of queen's death and the number of the quatrain in question. In this case we have plenty of doom, gloom, wars, pandemics, earthquakes, anti-christ and ultimately the end of all that is......

By 1554, Nostradamus’ visions had become an integral part of his works in the almanacs, and he decided to channel all his energies into a massive opus he initially titled Centuries. He planned to write 10 volumes, which would contain 100 predictions forecasting the next 2,000 years. It was also claimed in the 3-minute video—which has been flagged by Facebook as containing false information—that Nostradamus predicted King Charles III would have a short reign due to public "resentment," with an "unexpected man" replacing him. The series of events, it was claimed would lead to the end of the monarchy. As with all books written 'decoding' the Quatrains of Nostradamus....they are just the interpretation of that particular author Oddly enough, Nostradamus enjoyed a good relationship with the Vatican. It’s believed he never faced prosecution for heresy by the Inquisition because he didn’t extend his writings to the practice of magic. His popularity grew and he became one of the most famous figures during the Renaissance. All this data can be verified from: Wikipedia; Encyclopedia Britannica; the other 2 authors as well as other sources, all you need to do is do a bit of research. TS Eliot wrote that humankind cannot bear much reality. Today, when life seems irremediably chaotic, our politicians catastrophic and the future more ungraspable, we desperately seek patterns, narratives and meaning. “At moments of great change or social anxiety we do tend to go looking for explanations,” says Jones. “We want the past and the future to make narrative sense.” The point of the prophet is to provide this by showing us mugs what we have not noticed, be it a providential working-out of a larger, perhaps God-determined, purpose, the march of progress, or, as Steven Connor puts it, “a redemptive parabola rising from fall to forgiveness”.

Nostradamus is widely known as the greatest diviner and visionary who ever lived. In the whole of publishing history, only the Bible has sold more copies than his prophecies, which have been in print since his death in the 16th century. Will cost of living emergencies, growing anger around environmental damage, and income inequality pave the way for serious civil unrest in 2023 and beyond? Given how things have been going, it wouldn't be a stretch to believe that things may get a whole lot worse. And, as with so many other things, Nostradamus seems to have seen this coming. Tech magnate turned space entrepreneur Elon Musk hasn’t been afraid of making bold predictions about when humankind might finally set foot on Mars. In March 2022, he suggested 2029 as the year in which astronauts would make this second giant leap. But might Nostradamus be pouring cold water on such bold aspirations with his cryptic line, ‘the light of Mars will go out’?This book was a hoot. I would like to give it 4 stars just for the sheer entertainment value, however a more critical level is the 1 star rating it has. Marco Reading takes the prophecies of Nostradamus and uses them to foretell the future. Many of the prophecies are ambiguous and require a huge leap of faith to get what Marco Reading is taking from them. There are some universal themes: conflict between Christianity and Islam; global warming; and the Antichrist that are given much attention. So let’s take a closer look: In 1550, Nostradamus wrote his first almanac of astrological information and predictions of the coming year. Almanacs were very popular at the time, as they provided useful information for farmers and merchants and contained entertaining bits of local folklore and predictions for the coming year. According to the clip, the source of the information was Nostradamus' 1555 book Les Prophéties, or The Prophecies, a collection of poetic quatrains allegedly predicting future events. The Complete Prophecies has the answer: Nostradamus concealed nothing, for the information is right there in the text. He gave to each of his prophetic verses--ten volumes of 100 each--an index number. As Mario Reading reveals in this ground-breaking new analysis, in these numbers lie the true key to the years of the prophecies’ fulfillment. It’s an eye-opening interpretation that no one should miss.

Within a few years of his settling into Salon, Nostradamus began moving away from medicine and more toward the occult. It is said that he would spend hours in his study at night meditating in front of a bowl filled with water and herbs. The meditation would bring on a trance and visions. It’s believed the visions were the basis of his predictions for the future. Nostradamus claimed to base his published predictions on judicial astrology—the art of forecasting future events by calculation of the planets and stellar bodies in relationship to the earth. His sources include passages from classical historians like Plutarch as well as medieval chroniclers from whom he seems to have borrowed liberally. Using a revolutionary new analysis of the secret dating of Nostradamus's prophecies, The Complete Prophecies for The Future reveals startling new interpretations, offering answers to relevant questions- Is the demise of the British monarchy inevitable? Will there be a Global War-and, if so, what will this mean for the world's climate? So this should be read with some caution. I am aware that Marco Reading was considered an expert on Nostradamus and if you want to believe his interpretations of these prophecies for the future that’s okay. However, there are 3 important facts that must be remembered when reading this and other books on Nostradamus. Featuring updated author commentaries, this is an internationally bestselling selection of the famous seer's most relevant propheciesNostradamus was born Michel de Nostradame on December 14 or 21, 1503, in the south of France in Saint-Remy-de-Provence. He was one of nine children born to Reyniere de St-Remy and her husband Jaume de Nostradame, a well-to-do grain dealer and part-time notary of Jewish descent. even when the book was first published in 2005, global warming was a serous issue; there has long been conflict between Christianity and Islam; and predictions of an Antichrist predate Nostradamus. During a nomadic youth he sold rare books, taught riding in Cape Town, studied dressage in Vienna, played polo in India, France, Spain, and Dubai, ran a seventy horse polo stables in Gloucestershire, and helped manage his Mexican wife’s coffee plantation. During this time, young Nostradame was taught the rudiments of Latin, Greek, Hebrew and mathematics. It’s believed that his grandfather also introduced him to the ancient rites of Jewish tradition and the teachings of astrology, giving Nostradame his first exposure to the idea of the heavens and how they might drive human destiny. Education

On September 16, video creator Michael Summers shared a video on Facebook, which claimed that Nostradamus foresaw the death of the Queen. Thirdly, the most famous of Nostradamus’s predictions regarding the death of Henri II of France was actually published after the event, not 4 years before. In addition other writers have suggested other people that this prophecy can refer to (Michael Jordan ”Nostradamus and the New Millennium” Ian Wilson “Nostradamus The Evidence”. Reading is also the author of eight non-fiction titles including the Dictionary Of Cinema, the Movie Companion, the Watkins Dictionary Of Dreams, Nostradamus: The Complete Prophecies For The Future, Nostradamus: The Good News, Nostradamus: The Top 100 Prophecies and Nostradamus & The Third Antichrist: Napoleon, Hitler & The One Still To Come. His groundbreaking The Complete Prophecies Of Nostradamus was published in 2009. The third edition of Reading's bestselling Nostradamus: The Complete Prophecies For The Future is due out in 2015, to tie in with a new documentary on Nostradamus by the History Channel, which is due to air in the summer of 2015, and which features an extensive interview with the author. There is no doubt this is a really interesting book to read but I am sitting on the fence with this one. The prediction, claimed the video, was interpreted by Mario Reading, a British author who passed away in 2017.When Nostradamus talks about isles and islands, he's referring to Great Britain. Reading is oblivious to that fact and claims that one such quatrain is about Guantanamo in Cuba. What? Sometimes on the money but more often than not muddily missing the mark, our man’s prophecies lean towards conflagration and catastrophe. That people are so willing to believe anything anyone tells them along an eschatological vein is often more interesting than the eschatology itself.
