About this deal

The impossibility of knowing a person fully is also a theme. Do I know what this man or woman I love is truly capable of? Is there a darker side? Perhaps even tending toward violence? Does solitude exacerbate untoward symptoms of dysfunction? Will loneliness and the absence of communication send grief spiraling toward a violent destination? These are all questions that Stones explores, probing the behavior of people who don’t understand their frailties, their absolute limits. Impressive book about WWI Trench Art and Trench Art Lighters written by the French collector Patrice Warin. Requires French reading skills.

Inspired by a haunting true story, a gorgeous and atmospheric novel about the mysterious disappearance of three lighthouse keepers from a remote tower miles from the Cornish coast--and about the wives who were left behind. Towards the end, the novel presents us with different possible solutions to the mystery, including the one which, it seems, we should take at face value since it is recounted by an omniscient, third-person narrator. Even then, however, an element of doubt remains: “We’re not sure of the truth, are we? Isn’t that the point? Some mysteries just aren’t meant to be known…”

Custom Wood Lighter - Engraved Personalized Name Cigarette Lighter | Groomsmen Gifts for Wedding Day | Father's Day Gift The Bengali Swiss automatic lighter (1929 - 1939) was to lighters what Bentley was to cars in the 1930s: intelligent engineering, outstanding quality of materials, meticulous assembly and brilliant design. The highly confidential production run of around 5,000 units lasted 10 years and was halted by the outbreak of the Second World War. The Bengali lighter, a first cousin of the Thorens lighter, has become an iconic object, thanks to its rarity, purity and craftsmanship. Collectors the world over aspire to own one. This highly detailed and refined book, which is available in a signed and limited numbered edition, will tell you all about the eventful Bengali history, its creators and the Swiss workshop where it was born. Personalized 4-Tier Collection Box, Coin Collection, Stamp Collection, Sea Shell Collection, Stone Collection, Bottle Cap Collection This simple booklet presents an extract from the Auer-von-Welsbach Museum in Althofen, Austria. The Museum is dedicated to the inventor of the pyrophoric flint and the lighters shown are very rare models from his original collection. A must have for collectors interested in rare mechanisms.

In all my years I’ve realised there are two kinds of people. The ones who hear a creak in a dark, lonely house, and shut the windows because it must have been the wind. And the ones who hear a creak in a dark, lonely house, light a candle, and go to take a look.” I also find it unrealistic in a story that everyone is unhappy, unfaithful, loves another, doesn’t love the one they’re with, loves the one they’re with but they love another, grieving for a loved one… literally everyone was unhappy. Also the culmination saw three people considering murder at the same time, is that likely? I also felt the end, not only with its supernatural element seemed unlikely, surely they would have hit the base of the lighthouse rather than the sea? It was also unrealistic that blood and a struggle could have been totally cleaned up, forensics would have found evidence. How sad the only planted evidence they found pointed to the innocent person. Museum catalog of a German touring exhibition about the history of fire-making. Excellent book for collectors of early firemaking devices such as Doebereiner hydrogen-lamps etc. German reading skills required. PS. While I don’t expect a lighthouse keeper to be an expert in marine biology, you’d think someone raised by the ocean would know better than to say this:Museum catalogue of a German exhibition about the history of fire-making. The book is about all fire-making methods with fantastic pictures of a breathtaking collection. German reading skills required. Amazing book with lot of great photography, history, value trends, trading, price guide, advertising, lighter clubs and other info. I love unsolved mysteries and true crime so I was eager to read this book knowing it was based on a true story.
