The album employs the " Igor" literary archetype to explore themes associated with love, such as heartbreak, loss, and jealousy.

The story talks about our titular character falling in love with another man, who's seeing a woman. We can hear his love reveal in the amazingly catchy song "I Think". At this point I'd like to mention, that this isn't only a lyrically-told story. We can hear all of the emotions of the artist in the samples and melodies used. The record eventually comes to the explosive middle part "New Magic Wand", which clearly shows all of Igor's feelings, even without listening to the lyrics. The hard bass, aggresive drums and the 4th verse just give me the goosebumps every, single time. Igor is Tyler, the Creator's fifth studio album release on a record label; however, Tyler has referred to the project as his sixth album, considering his debut mixtape Bastard as an album. THE BEST ALBUM IVE EVER HEARD This album is home to my favorite instrumentals of any album. Even if we completely ignore every perfect vocal performance, or any story or conceptual additions to this album it would still likely be in my top 10 of all time. The weird and hazy, yet incredibly boppy and fun synths so perfectly blend with the perfect bass tone and lines. When the synths enter a wavy dream of perfectness, bobbing up and down like a tsunami heading towards a town, flying high, reaching the sky, before crashing down and delivering just the best sounds I've ever heard, it's amazing. I wouldn't change any part of this album, it is all simply magnificent. I genuinely couldn't speak the first time I finished this record., it was that good.
