About this deal

Hustle harder, hustle smarter” was a bit more personal where 50 Cent mixed anecdotes with lessons from both his life on the streets, a superstar rapper and entrepreneur. Those 3 perspectives give this book a certain edge. My hope is to see him come full circle in stepping into the full power he has acquired in business within his broken personal relationships. It would be a true demonstration of actualizing acquired knowledge only time can tell. Anywho... there is a lot of truth and tools on this man's tool belt and it would be nice to see more of this side of Curtis. I look forward to his next projects... Lord knows I can't wait for Power Book II !! WHEW!! The book shares the author’s insights and wisdom on how to overcome fear, change one’s mindset, spot opportunities, learn from failures, set goals, create habits, and build a network of support. Is a self help book. I hate self help books. Fiddy comes off as pretty arrogant at times with a holier than thou air to it. "If Yayo just listened to me, he'd be succesful like me." Sometimes his examples feel contrived - like he googled examples and fit parts of his life into them.

You were better trained, better prepared. But you didn’t let the world see that because you were scared. That fear is going to stop you from getting full value for your work. Don’t let it happen.” 50 Cent His bully reputation and cutthroat vibe are in great contrast here. He seems to be a businessman first. You learn a bit more on his competitive side and his insecurities, and he does seems to admit his mistakes and reflect on them. I gained a lot of respect for him.

His idea of hiding his street persona because he loved he grandma is not logical- if he really loved his grandma he wouldn’t lie to her Die meisten Situationen der modernen Welt lassen sich mit Furchtlosigkeit besser meistern. (Hier insbesondere Straßenanekdoten) Everyone seems to love each other in the beginning. That handshake agreement you’re about to take feels firm right now. But when jealousy and envy creeps in, you’ll be surprised by the person’s true nature. Protect yourself and put it on paper. When people don’t respond to what you give them, they’re telling you they’ve moved on, loud and clear. If you don’t hear them, then you’re just not listening.” he wrote. “If one generation knew me as a rapper, there’s going to be another that knows me as a TV mogul. But only because I was willing to change with the times and audience.” Now, you need to prepare for the big moment. The audition, the confrontation, the interview, the speaking event – whatever it is, do the work. A hustler harnesses their passion for their goal and digs deep to do the work it’s going to take to get to the next level.

So first ask yourself, What am I afraid of? Then ask whether the risks of confronting your fear are more important than the potential upside. Chances are, if you’re honest with yourself, you’ll find that the risks are worth it. Moving past fear He has dedicated the most precious of commodities to people, Time and Experience, I really do admire him for that. I earlier read the 50th Law with Robert Greene and it was such a great read. His New book: Hustle Harder Hustle Smarter chronicles his journey, his thought process, and his re-invention strategies. He gives some very great insights that are very practical and straight to the point, some surprising facts like befriending authors such as Robert Greene who he co-authored 50th Law with and Deepak Chopra. How he transitioned from the music business to the Television show business, the book reads like an autobiography/self help nugget book but lots of great content. Don’t let the thought of starting all over again make you depressed. Understand that most successful people end up chasing the same dream multiple times before it ever comes to fruition.” 50 CentSo first ask yourself, What am I afraid of? Then ask whether the risks of confronting your fear are more important than the potential upside. Chances are, if you’re honest with yourself, you’ll find that the risks are worth it. People like to say I’m a bully, but I have zero problem poking fun at myself if it helps build buzz. An actual bully doesn’t possess that sort of self-awareness. Their skins are way too thin to post those sorts of pictures of themselves. But I’m not moving off emotion. My skin is tough enough to do whatever it takes to keep my brand poppin! At the end of the day, you can bet on a lot of games, ideas and even people. But the only sure thing you can always count on 100 percent of the time is ‘yourself.’ He's giving a lot of life advice - hustle, be fearless, know your true friends, portraying yourself as you don't really want it or need it demeanor actually works with life work romance, learn from your losses, don't be entitled, and read a lot!

In every profession or field, the most successful people are always the ones who refuse to settle into the status quo, who don’t get satisfied and complacent once they achieve something, but always push toward the next goal or challenge. Conversely, people who get too comfortable or are unwilling to adapt are usually the ones who get left behind.” 50 Cent If you feel passionately about me in a negative way, at some point you’ll probably say to your friend, “Man, I can’t stand 50 Cent.” Your friend is going to ask you “Why?” and just like that, I’ve become the subject of a conversation. That’s all I’m asking for. Having this spirit, a great work ethic, & an entrepreneurial nature allows you to create your lifestyle, just like Curtis has. Man sollte einfach anfangen; sog. "Gatekeeper" (Menschen oder Institutionen, die dich von Ressourcen abhalten, also bspw. früher ein Musikstudio) gibt es immer weniger (Bsp. heute kann man einfach am Computer einen Song aufnehmen und auf YouTube veröffentlichen). Praktika (damit sind auch Dinge gemeint, die eigentlich nicht als Praktikum bezeichnet werden können), wo Erfahrung gesammelt werden kann, sind unbezahlbar. My strategy was pretty straightforward: I’d always prefer to be friends with someone, but if they’re not interested, then I consider being enemies the next best option. Why? Because if you hate me, you’re more likely to talk about me.

Chapter 6: Power of Perception- control the energy in the room —> easier to set the agenda (subconsciously more agreeable towards you/receptive), when you are around people and everyone is trying to be heard, the secret is to speak as softly as possible (low voice —> transferring of energy), the more quietly you speak, the more intently people will listen, use non verbal cues to your advantage (don’t react with your body language but stay engaged/listening —> high level executives look for non verbal cues —> throw them off guard), act like you don’t need it strategyThis book was a big surprise! I did not know much about 50 Cent’s persona apart from his musical career and somewhat aggressive reputation.
