Sweet, exotic and floral, it’ no surprise that Ylang Ylang is a popular essential oil. It is coming from the yellow, fragrant flowers of the Cananga tree native to tropical Asia and, similar to other essential oils, it is a chemically complex mixture with several pros and cons. The main Klairs toner ingredients of this product are Sodium Hyaluronate, Beta-Glucan, Centella Asiatica Extract and Lipidure. These ingredients provide deep moisturization to the inner layer of the skin. Lavender - essential oil with a calming scent and antimicrobial properties. Contains fragrant components (linalyl acetate - 50% and linalool - 35%) and might be cytotoxic from 0.25%.

Klairs recommends multiple application on very dry areas, though I’ve never found the need to (I have combination skin). Another great thing about panthenol is that it has anti-inflammatory and skin protecting abilities. A study shows that it can reduce the irritation caused by less-nice other ingredients (e.g. fragrance, preservatives or chemical sunscreens) in the product.
