There are only 2 of us & it's perfect in size and layout for us. The canopy gives a sheltered outdoor area. Since taking the photo we have bought a Coleman windshield and it turns the area into a lovely outdoor room. We also have a carpet in the living area & have 2 large picnic rugs in the bedroom area that fit the separate compartments exactly or touch edges to provide through carpet when the divider is removed to give one area. We tend to use the inner tent as one area as we can get our camp beds in, 1 on each side, creating an area to stand & dress. It also enables us to have a camping cupboard in the bedroom area for clothes. We love the roll down windows. We don't have the water ingress problem that some report as our 2011 model has a zip along the bottom of the front door. Spot the semi-circular opening close to the ground in the picture. That's an air vent that can be opened, enabling good airflow through the tent and out through the vents above the bedroom area. (It comes with a bug screen built-in). We have used the larger Coleman Coastline 6 Deluxe for a number of years, and the additional bedroom that provides is not that practical. However, the living area is great, accommodating both the bags, kitchen, cupboards, toys, and all the other stuff family camping brings. I am a single parent with a 6 year old. I can manage to put this tent up by myself and it allows me to have the room to stay comfortably with my child on our hols. We use the spare bedroom for the toilet & wardrobe and have plenty of living space for the two of us. There's also a zip up flap for the EHU cable and some excellent windows with self rolling blinds. Have used this tent for overnight and longer holidays-up to a week since 2010. Have the porch which is a great extra meaning you can keep all the chairs and tables outside.Observe also that this is a very tall tent, its peak height in the living room is 78.74 inches (200 cm). So you have a stand-up height in the bigger part of the tent. Ventilation The Coleman Coastline 4 is a good basic tunnel tent for the family that wants to get away at the weekend. Our Opinion If you want something with a larger living area, then have a look at the Coleman Fremont 4, which has a completely enclosed porch extension that zips onto the tent. More Information New to camping we liked this tent because it is simple to pitch and large enough for the three of us (2 adults, 1 child).We have just returned from our 1st two nights away in the tent.

(The zip can work loose so you do have to secure this in high winds). I understand there is also an enclosed porch available. We have since sold this to a very happy buyer in pristine condition and upgraded to a six man air tunnel tent. Main reason for selling was space; limited living area space esp with kids. Would also of liked the option of second entry door. So far the tent has kept the rain out and seems stable enough in strong winds (tested this out on the Isle of Skye last year).

Put up the inner tent. This is also very easy as it toggles into loops inside the tent, with the apex colour coded. Start with that one, attached the corner clips, and toggle the rest. The Coleman Coastline 4 is a great 4-person tent with a generous storage/porch area. It is ideal for festivals, or for families regularly going from place to place who need to store a large amount of equipment and pitch with minimal hassle. As we have the 6 person version we didn't use the tent extension (as there is a bedroom in the way of that tent opening). These extensions are very good and zip right onto the tent. You may want to get some windbreaks though to prevent wind and horizontal rain entering into the tent. New self roll windows are a novelty but only downside is no fly screen in windows so cant open for ventilation. Small ventilation port at ground level for the cooling fan Coleman produces, without fan in situ very little air circulation.
