We always hear about “ printable vinyl” and “printable htv”. Do you know the difference? I know that knowing the differences between the different types of printable vinyl can get a little confusing. Note: *Cricut Joy is not capable of Print Then Cut. Cricut Explore Air 2 and older machines can Print Then Cut on non-reflective white materials only; Gold and Silver Printable Vinyl are not compatible with these machines. All colors compatible with Cricut Maker machines, Cricut Explore 3, Cricut Venture, and Cricut Joy Xtra. Important : For use with inkjet printers only. Using a laser printer may damage the materials or printer. Printable vinyl is so great because it saves a lot of time and effort without having to perform complex layering, especially when you are dealing with a lot of details or smaller projects. You can print on the vinyl using your own inkjet printer and cut it out using your Silhouette Cameo or Cricut Explore or your other favorite die cut machine. Using printable vinyl with a Cricut means you need Print then Cut capabilities. You’ll need one of the Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore machines. Cricut Joy does not have Print then Cut capabilities.
