A CGI movie titled Ben 10: Destroy All Aliens was announced in mid-2011, [19] and released on March 11, 2012 (Asia/Philippines) [20] and on March 23, 2012 (US). [21] This film had previously been under the working title Ben 10: Alien Dimensions. [22] The film was based on the original series, and featured the original voice cast. The CGI was animated by Tiny Island Productions.

Ben's transformations put stress on the Omni-Energy core, therefore speeding up the countdown. [pop-up 10] For most of the Original Series, Ben was unable to defeat him alone, always winning thanks to external help. Once Ben gained access to Way Big, he was able to defeat Vilgax with ease. After he became the "Conqueror of 10 Worlds", battling and defeating the champions of each, he drained their powers and abilities and added them to his own arsenal. One of those warriors was Ultimos. The Ultimatrix had most of the same functionality as the Omnitrix, but would allow the user to transform the alien into its Ultimate Form (how the species and its DNA would evolve in a one-million-year simulation). In the final episode of Ultimate Alien, Azmuth takes the Ultimatrix from Ben and replaces it with the New Omnitrix–the original version has been a prototype.

When he lost the powers he stole from the heroes he defeated, all Vilgax has left is his monstrous physical strength and resistance. In addition, he can also project red energy blasts from his hands. The scene where Way Big swats at Vilgax's Mechadroids with his hands is similar to the movie King Kong.Throughout his entire pursuit for absolute power, Vilgax was not willing to let anyone or anything stand in his way. As such, he would get revenge on anyone who defeated him before. This shows that Vilgax can hold a grudge, most notably against Max and his family for the great number of losses he has suffered at their hands. Between this and his imprisonment in the Null Void, he has developed such a pathological hatred towards Ben that he wants to kill him as much as getting the Omnitrix. Of course, Vilgax's quest for the Omnitrix slowly became his secondary goal as his desire for Ben's defeat and/or death became even greater.
