Square Up Your Face -When the markings on the Trident alignment guide and the Trident markings on the golf ball forms a perfect square shape it ensures the long centre line is perfectly positioned at 90°. If you havent formed the square then the ball is not aimed along the same line as the Trident alignment guide. This is due to the fact that the ball is either tilted or rotated too much to the left or right, make your adjustments until everything lines up perfectly. This 2nd generation Trident Align design provides the same level of adjustability and precision aiming that Trident Align customers have become accustomed to. The new design features two stability studs that have been added to the base plate to provide extra gripping power when being used on hard or fast greens where the grass has been cut tighter. The precision movement of the new design ensures the adjustable aim finder moves smoothly from side to side with greater ease and accuracy to ensure you find your desired start line on every putt. The Alignment Ball Mark is a two-spike, adjustable aligning ball marker that makes putting more accurate and faster. Winner of BEST NEW PRODUCT at the 2022 PGA Show! When the Rules of Golf were overhauled and released in January of 2019, the new Rules included a definition of a ball-marker and how it can be used. Then in January of 2020, the USGA released a Clarification that references the Equipment Rules that further defines the specifications of allowable ball-markers. If the player, or his or her opponent in match play, lifts the player’s ball-marker or causes it to move, (when the ball is lifted and not yet replaced), the player or opponent gets one penalty stroke. Having a snazzy marker that reminds you of something, perhaps an event, a memory, or even a time you nailed a hole-in-one at your local course, can fill you with confidence on the greens. Confidence is king when putting and having that added boost when standing over a golf ball is crucial to help you stop three-putting. Over every putt…walk along the approximate line…..”oops I dropped my marker”….”oh darn, did it again”. Lol. that said, there is a marker being sold that allows the top of the marker to rotate while the base stays on the ground. Don’t know if that’s ok or not. Weight is one factor that not a lot of golfers consider when purchasing a new ball marker. Often ball markers can get blown off the greens or moved by other balls hitting them. Plus it's also good to have a heavier marker which you are generally less likely to lose when placed in your bag. I believe it's relevant to also that there is a difference between accidentally moving a marker and mistakenly moving it. To the best of my knowledge, accidental movements are not penalized, mistaken movements are. If a player places an “alignment device” (see Definition in Equipment Rules to see when a ball-marker meets this Definition) to show the line of play and then orients his or her ball based on the direction of that alignment device, the player is in breach of Rule 4.3a.German Alexander Knappe breaks down during an emotional post-round interview after retaining his DP World Tour card for 2024 Personalised Golf Set 3 Tees Pitch And & Repairer Ball Marker For Him Mens Dad Birthday Christmas Fathers Day Gifts Set Presents Golfer That said, I'm puzzled. I realize some markers have lines on them, but why would I use that as an alignment aid? A lot of balls themselves have lines on them (I play ProV1 - there's an alignment aid on it). And when they don't a lot of players just draw a line on the ball with a sharpie. The Trident Alignment Finder can cope with any amount of break. If a putt has a significant amount of break then generally you can see this as you approach the green to mark your golf ball. In this case, you position the Trident Alignment Finder on the ground aimed more towards the side that the putt will break from. Rather than starting with the alignment finder in its centered position with the long centre line aimed directly at the hole, you place it on the ground aiming further to the left or right of the hole and then adjust accordingly. The alignment finder can aim 20 degrees left and 20 degrees right from its central position. The distance this equates to the left or right of the hole in feet or inches varies depending on the overall length of the putt
