A Place Called Here (published in the U.S. as There's No Place Like Here) is a 2006 book by Irish author Cecelia Ahern. It is based on the premise that every object or person that gets lost or missing, winds up in a certain other world, in this case simply called "Here". Riiiiight. Well, this was an odd one. Reading the blurb, I though Ahern was writing metaphorically about a place that lost things end up. Nope. I was very wrong. The result? An odd story that I just couldn’t settle to throughout the narrative.

Associated With These chimes are multi-colored and made of high-quality material for a beautiful sound. Each chime has a special remembrance seal at the bottom which catches the wind for the chime. But nothing can compare to dealing with a missing person. And God knows how much I hate this terminology.

The premise is promising, about certain place containing missing people and missing things. But I just couldn't get it. I couldn't care the least towards the characters.... Okay, they're missing someone, so?They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. This book is quite odd. There's a lot of repition thus far about Sandy searching for things. Just. Really. Nailing. That. Down.

According to poems, upon death, the pet finds itself in a lush, green meadow filled with sunshine.
