Another topic we have been hearing from you (and especially our longer time players) is the amount of loops/grind that a Commander needs to do daily. Fleet Commanders give you a new way to enhance your station and fleet. Here, the most impactful and iconic characters from the Star Trek universe take center stage. They will bring additional power and strategy to all of your fleet while commanding it from the safety of your station. Sales in Star Trek Online are constantly occurring, frequent, but usually announced with no prior notice, on the day of the sale. Each contains a uniquely numbered letter of authenticity The Star Trek Daily Calendar (2023) is a 2023 desk calendar featuring photos and illustrations from the various Star Trek series. We wanted to share with you some of the improvements our dedicated engineering team has been working on and where those changes are in the pipeline (see image below). Special events in Star Trek Online can either denote "tentpole" seasonal events aimed at incentivizing repeated completions of the newest content drop (e.g. the newest "Season"), or interstitial events, such as "Galactic Red Alert". They typically span a month in duration. A few examples of Special events can be seen below:

Zen Store sales encompass a wide variety of items, such as Mudd's Market bundles, ships, costumes, and more. These sales range anywhere from 4 days (weekend sales) or 2 weeks (launch promotions or holiday sales). For holiday sales, the entire Zen Store may be discounted (20% - 30% off). Flash Sales can also occur, these sales only occur on weekends and typically only for 48 hours. Sale windows are valued as typically the best and only time a player should consider purchasing an item. Each of the collectibles is a high-quality item that has been crafted especially for this advent calendar, making it the perfect gift for even the most demanding Trek fan. The Hailing Frequencies feature that will arrive early next year will include special animated emotes that you can use from your ships to communicate with other commanders in your vicinity.

We recognize that over the years, we have added a lot for dedicated commanders to do on a daily basis. Many ships, features, options, resources, and factions await you each day. These new gameplay features have also increased the time needed to complete daily hostiles and armadas kills. To that end, a big priority for us in 2023 is to help reduce this grind, especially for older content. This will also allow us to provide new fun and engaging content throughout the year! HOLIDAY TIME OR ANY TIME: The calendar and its contents are a welcome gift that counts down to Christmas, or to delight a Star Trek fan any time of year

Lastly, the arcs we have planned for next year include some fan favorite shows and movies from the Star Trek catalog, plus some new more recent ones which we are sure all fans would enjoy. Every item is officially approved and is based on a deep love of the show. The contents reflect every era of the franchise, from the original 1968 series to The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Discovery, and beyond.
