About this deal

LP Gear sells 2 for that price, or just one? How come they still have SHUREs, last of the last kind of thing, or? History of the V15: V15 1964-1966, V15 Type II 1966-1970, V15 Type II Improved 1970-1973, V15 Type III 1973-1978, V15 Type IV 1978-1982, V15 Type V 1982-1983, V15 Type V-MR 1983-1993, V15 Type VxMR 1996-2005 In 1997, the V15VxMR was introduced with improvements in the stylus design and pole piece design to provide a warmer and more musical sound quality.

NinjaGaijin: go here https://www.kabusa.com/frameset.htm?/m1200.htm, Under Headshells, look for HS Washers. In return, please consider naming your firstborn after me. they are noticeably stiffer feeling than Shure (can't scratch reliably with them, they jump majorly) Bad thing: no mention of the cost of replacement styli. I won't buy a thing until I know what that will be. I have a preference for the latter, because it sounds a bit more lively and has a richer presentation. Also we better hope there is good uptake with this, otherwise replacement styli could become as hard to find as Shure lol. Estetique side are not the most beautiful, but it did not matter much, I especially love these beautiful low dynamic, well rounded, well doduu! Can you say anything about the difference in output as this can affect the sound or perception of sound. N-44 KUROGAKI is our custom designed by our artisan Kotaro Morita using wooden cantilever and suit best with classical music, jazz, and romantic music.

There is a notation toward the end of the pamphlet that calls out loading on the flat response as 47k-ohm and relatively high parallel capacitance that wouldn’t have been commonly applied. The tipped up response is a straight 47k-ohm load. Could not find out if the Tonar are rebranded Jico but seems possible. They advised that the only difference between the 'N44-7' and 'N44-G' models (1.5-3g) and the 'N44-7 DJ/Club' and 'N44-G DJ/Club' is the colour of the body. pliers are Not good enough to make the perfect bend required, bend have an small arc before the 45° tabs, if you succeed to bend perfectly, then add UV resin to stop tabs from moving or touching the metallic shell, hot silicone could work, but... tolerances must be flawless or repaired side will have lower volume. https://www.turntablelab.com/products/jico-n-44g-improved-replacement-stylus-for-shure-m44g-192-44g-impAnd we have tested them all on the same system in a bar with the owner of the place and even a customer once. Unanimously the DJ got the favor of us all. Requiring higher VTF, but manage to push on the VTF of the "standard" to 2.5g. and the lowest VTF @ 3g. on the "DJ" to meet on "evenly" VTF for whatever that's worth. N44 Stylus for Shure M44 5/7/G/C/E options overview. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the DaCapo Team of needle experts if you need assistance choosing. I would like to thank Michael Pettersen for his time and very informative interview. It is always a pleasure to reminisce about a hobby that is ever changing and, for some of us old timers, will never be quite the same.

A: That is a very simple question to answer. Shure is privately held and bears the name of the family. To protect the family name is a priority and we won’t let the name be used by anyone else. Although Mr. and Mrs. Shure are gone now, we still want to protect the name and the brand. To clarify, there is NO difference in specs apparently between the 7 and G models by Jico - just the colour of the stylus body. That's what Jico told me. If these exist, https://www.turntablelab.com/products/jico-n-44g-improved-replacement-stylus-for-shure-m44g-192-44g-imp ; https://lptunes.com/products/jico-replacement-shure-n-44g-improved-stylus , I might be interested in getting one, as it seems to be the closest match to Shure's M44G.Everything has been constructed to the highest possible standard in Shure M447. Even though it is under 100 dollars, it easily feels like it should cost twice as much due to its reliability and skip resistance. In addition, the output voltage is 9.5 V if I'm not mistaken, and you can see the difference with gains. My preconception was that the M44-7 would produce an inflated bass in comparison with the others, but that is not the case.

I think I would skip the more expensive Shures like the M97 or M91 and buy one of these. They are typically half the price or at least far less. Throw a new eliptical needle in yours and enjoy the music! Did you record before the stylus changes, without issues? Or are you new to recording? I don't think recording with Shure vs recording with Jico should produce all these new issues with volume changes.I didn't notice any channel imbalance. Everything sounded fine, except for the occasional bass distortion. Apparently the 'flexible' model is 16 size, whereas Shure was 20, so it will be slightly less flexible than Shure. So maybe wont bend to one side as easily. Together with an old-fashioned Idler drive - very dynamic, lively sound with substance and stable imaging. Correlates to mounting in a DUAL 1019 drive.
