But in his new book Ten: The Decade That Changed My Future, he revealed their marriage split might not have been just down to the admission. He wrote: "And next time, I’d get a prenup. Silly pr***."As his marriage came to an abrupt end, Rylan pulled out of work events. He said: "Two days before I was due to do Eurovision, everyone knew when I wasn't at Eurovision something was wrong."

He also told how he had become so ill he had suffered heart failure twice. He had to be given an injection to restart his heart. In his book he explained the couple had tried to give it a go for two weeks after his cheating admission. He wrote: "It still keeps playing on my mind why he didn’t want to work to fix what we had. The chances of Rylan reading this review is very slim, but if he ever does - Rylan, I bloody love ya! You truly deserve every success and this book was such a joy to read! I'm so sad I've finished it, but I'm confident you'll have a second instalment in a few years as your career is only going to go from strength to strength! I wouldn't eat. I went through a stage where I couldn't even talk, which for some people might be quite handy," he told Fearne Cotton on the Happy Place Podcast. "My speech was just slurred. My mum thought I was having a stroke. My body just went. I went down to 9st and I am six-foot-four." In another interview with Elizabeth Day, Rylan described the ordeal as "extremely traumatic."

Photograph: Suki dhanda/The Observer He said: "Obviously I went through a divorce and break up midway through writing so the book became two things Rylan also landed the hosting gig on C5′s Big Brother’s Bit on the Side following his Celebrity Big Brother win and he continues to be a regular contestant on the award winning Celebrity Juice and numerous other ITV formats; he celebrated being a Celebrity Masterchef finalist in 2015. The pair met on Big Brother's Bit on the Side - which Rylan was hosting - in 2015 and they became engaged the following year. Rylan and Dan, an ex-Met Police detective, walked down the aisle in 2016 and kept their relationship away from the public eye. But fans became concerned after Rylan missed several weeks of his radio show.
