About this deal

Below the trigger is the rev trigger. As with all flywheel blasters, you need to hold it for a moment before pulling the primary trigger to fire. There are two clips of darts that come with the toy, making a total of 24 smaller darts, and you can even buy accessories for it to develop the Nerf even more. For example, there are upgrade kits for stealth and long-range shooting. What did we think of the Nerf Modulus Regulator? First, you must hold down the reverse trigger for a while, after which you can pull the primary trigger. However, unlike the Flywheel Blasters, you must select the mode before starting. You do this with the help of the selector. It gives 51%+ profits to Reverence for Life, who fund a number of important initiatives in Africa, including bringing running water and basic equipment to a school in Tanzania. The semi-automatic and three-round burst modes are electronically controlled to fire one or three darts with any duration of the trigger input. Full auto moves the feeding conveyor only when you hold the trigger, similar to the hyper fire.

No matter the age, toy blaster owners want to know their blaster has power. Some models can shoot rounds at speeds of up to 125 feet per second, while others come in at only about 70 feet per second. Further forward on the underside is the magazine well. This blaster is compatible with all N strike magazines. I found the position to be a touch too far forward compared to most NERF guns. So when I went to load I would find myself crashing around trying to find the slot more often than I would have liked. With Modulus Regulator, you don’t need to go for any different firing requirement than all other regular flywheel blasters out there. Also, it’s pretty fun to fire with. You can enjoy hard and fast firing with it that also seems to be a fairly good velocity. The semi-auto and 3-round burst modes work, but they aren't that great. The issue is that unlike dedicated semi-auto blasters like the Stryfe, the Regulator uses a conveyor to push darts into the flywheels to launch them. Because this means it has to get up to speed for each semi-auto shot, there's a noticeable amount of trigger delay, and it's much greater than what you'd experience with a semi-auto blaster. However, it's not unreasonable, and you could totally get used to it. My daughter had fun testing this out for her brother; and was happy to use it, finding it quite large, but simple to use. The clips, with 12 darts each, are rather cool, after all. It is definitely for the older child, both due to the bulk, and the power of the darts. The manufacturers recommend age 8+ for this toy, and this seems about right to us. Overall – 7/10

The full auto mode is also possible; however, this only moves the feeding conveyor while you are holding the trigger. This mechanism is very similar to that of the hyper fire. NERF Rival blasters make a great choice for team games, letting you choose your side: red or blue. Start a head-to-head competition fuelled by NERF Rival’s power and precision. And for fans of the Fortnite gaming world, there’s a whole range of NERF Fortnite blasters to take your Fortnite battles from the screen to the playing field. If you’re buying a Nerf gun for a young person in your life, pay close attention to shooting power. That’s the element of the gun that will be considered the most “fun.” However, if you’re concerned about safety and indoor use, you may not necessarily go for the most powerful, especially if you have younger children. Some models have shooting power of approximately 70 feet per second, although others can shoot at up to 100 feet per second. The NERF Modulus Regulator is a magazine-fed blaster that features a conveyor based system similar to the Hyperfire, but with a select-fire. This allows you to switch between semi-auto, three-round burst or full auto bad-boy mode! Unboxing Finally, there is the question of price – is it worth it? This really comes down to whether you want these accessories and how much you like the quirky layout of the blaster and ergonomics.

Keep in Mind – There’s a need to select the mode for firing, this is the only thing that is different from another flywheel blaster.

I ended up doing quite a bit of research into the full-auto Nerf dart blasters, and came to the conclusion that this was arguably the best of them. I didn't even really care that much for the fact it has a fire selector; what attracted me was that it had a higher rate of fire than the Rapidstrike and Infinus, while using C batteries instead of the D batteries the HyperFire uses, and not being clipped and solvent-welded together like the Turbine. Since giving up being a business analyst when juggling travel, work and kids proved too complicated, she founded KiddyCharts so she could be with her kids, and use those grey cells at the same time. This is definitely for the serious Nerf fans out there, but should keen you kids entertained for long enough, particularly if you already have a few other Nerf toys around to help create a mission to remember!

At the top of the carry handle, there is a relatively small peephole. This hole makes it possible for the individual to have a line of sight so that when other optic devices are attached, you can look through it. It’s important to note that blasters are better for older players, with a recommended age of 14 and up, although there are a few that are rated for ages 8 and up. The grip itself is a bit smaller than the Elite or Modulus series norms but it’s smooth and comfortable. The trigger guard is also a littl ebit smaller than I would like and also features an additiona “thing” that we will go into in the loading section. BatteriesMy only word of warning would be to be careful that you load the darts properly, but this well be us being a little Nerf toy green. Overall – The firing is fairly simple and fun with a little bit of an issue with the conveyor belt sometimes that may be due to some design fault.
