Realistic metallic castings can be created using a combination of different metal powders and pigments. Using this silicone mould making and resin casting kit you can take just about any original part or pattern including RPG figures, sculptures, figurines, scenario models or product prototypes and then perfectly duplicate them by first creating a flexible silicone mould and then casting durable and perfectly detailed resin copies. Grey Pro Resin has a lower thermal conductivity than High Temp Resin or Rigid Resin, which leads to a longer cooling time, but it is softer and can wear hundreds of cycles. Use our Tinting Pigments to colour the casting resin any of 10 different pastel shades or for a more vibrant colours use our range of polyurethane solid colour pigments.

The casting alginate is of the highest quality. It reveals even the finest details such as nails, prints, fine lines, and even curves and crevices of a ring, making it perfect for engagement and wedding keepsakes and also realistic looking hand statues.

When designing your mold, consider what will 3D print successfully, as well as what will mold successfully. Depending on the shape and complexity of the part it may be possible to simply stretch the mould slightly and pull the original part from the mould. Other shapes will require that the mould is gently cut open to remove the part.
