About this deal

Here’s a look at the instruction manual, which has a new (and a little odd) booklet shape which is new to me.

Mini Palace of Agrabah is available exclusively from LEGO.com or your local LEGO Store. It’s a great set to trigger the upcoming 40659 Mini Steamboat Willie GWP which will be available from 23 October onwards. Highly recommend this set, and this is pretty much a flawless set, and contender for one of the best and most satisfying sets of 2021. An obvious 5/5 score for this miniature magical wonder. With Walt Disney World’s (and Tokyo Disneyland’s) Cinderella’s Castle, then Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion, I believed the door was open to fans, having access to future Park Icons / Attractions…so this Set is jarring, especially, without an exclusive Minifigure. Odd! Disneyland Parks are massive attractions, welcoming millions of visitors a year, and are massive pop culture institutions for the house of mouse, so it’s great that LEGO and Disney are working on these mini LEGO attractions. Disney Parks have a large number of iconic attractions and one of the oldest and most beloved is The Haunted Mansion. Located in the New Orleans Square area of Disneyland, Anaheim, from its exterior, The Haunted Mansion doesn’t scream spookiness. It was originally designed as the quintessential haunted house, falling apart and left to ruin, a perfect place for ghosts to dwell. But Walt Disney didn’t want a rundown building sitting in his new theme park. So the building which contains the ride looks as perfect as the day it was built. Once inside things are very different, visitors take to Doom Buggy as they journey through the Mansion and meet some of its inhabitants. The ride has also inspired a movie, a Muppets Disney+ special and versions in other Disney Parks. It’s the original Disneyland version of The Haunted Mansion which has inspired this new set.The mini LEGO Disney Castle is hands down going to be one of the most popular LEGO sets of 2021, striking the right balance between a price and display presence. The facade and front entrance, is the most recognisable and aesthetically pleasing part of the build, emphasised by these 4 white columns. I also like the dark orange base, which contrasts nicely against the sand green and white. The build was fairly enjoyable for me – I really like building at micro scale, and at 567 pieces, was a medium-length and rather satisfying experience. The Butler has a very nice face print, with deep sunken eyes, and an almost bored to death expression. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have an alternate face which is a bit of a bummer. At this size and pricepoint, it makes for a very attractive display model and such an easy slice of Aladdin that you can display, either alongside the mini Disney Castle, or Haunted Mansion.

Here’s a look at the Agrabah Palace from the front, where there are more interesting details such as this fountain. The perfect gift for the Magic Kingdom fan of any age out there, light and display your Mini Disney Castle today! The LEGO 40478 Mini Disney Castle is a great collectable for any Disney or LEGO fan and deserves to take pride of place in your room - so what better way to do that than showcasing it in a clear display case from iDisplayit. The combination of the LEGO® brand and Disney has been a long-running one. In fact Disney’s Pluto was one of the first licensed characters to inspire a LEGO-made wooden toy. More recently, Disney Parks have also inspired sets such as the Disney Castle and Train Station. To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World, last year a mini version of the park’s Cinderella Castle was created and it must have proved popular enough, as another iconic part of Disney Parks has been shrunken down into a mini-set. This time it’s the spook-filled Haunted Mansion. Here’s an early look at this upcoming new Disney-themed set before it’s released on August 1st.

Summary

Coolness [3] – A great slice of Aladdin in microscale, however a minifigure would’ve made this way cooler And here’s a look at the Dining Room, which includes 3 more portraits, some white statuettes (which I believe represent the moving busts), as well as a long banquet table, complete with a large cake, and candles.
