About this deal

Then disconnect the LEFT module from your PC and use the battery-power to power it down (slide towards the USB port) Whether you are a professional writer or spend hours gaming each day, the Kinesis Advantage 360 could be the solution to improve your productivity and overall well-being while using a keyboard. Key Takeaways My hands are average sized for a woman. No way in he A: The Kinesis Advantage 360 keyboard doesn't come with a wrist rest or palm support, but it's designed to be used without one. The keyboard's unique layout and design encourage proper hand placement and typing posture, reducing the strain on your wrists and hands.

The key thing to remember when choosing a 360 variant, is that, as of right now, if you want full customisability, you need to opt for wireless, pro, variant of the 360. Before I can tell the main differences and the new features, I'll have to describe shortly how it all started. Please bare with me because it matters to understand why the Advantage360 is superior and better to the existing Advantage2 in many ways. Second, the thumb keys on the Advantage2 had unique, taller keycaps for the Ctrl, Alt, Cmd/Win keys. They were much easier to reach. They replaced them with a shorter keycap or, let's say, normalized it with all the other keycaps. Because my Raycast/Alfred (finder applications) and the ESC key are on those keys, I immediately found it cumbersome. Six new hotkeys Press Mod+macro1 to put the left side into bootloader mode; it should attach to your computer as a USB drive.Additionally, the keyboard allows for complete customization of key mappings and macros, allowing you to create a setup that works best for your individual needs. While some users may miss having a wrist rest or palm support, the Kinesis Advantage 360 is built with ergonomics in mind and may actually be more comfortable to type on without additional supports. Q: How long is the warranty for the Kinesis Advantage 360? The new and improved new SmartSet TM Programming Engine supports on-board programming featuring one-touch macros and remaps. Use the new SmartSet App (Windows & Mac) to customize each 9 Profiles now with 5 programmable layers each.

If you are having difficulty, try deleting the connection and re-pairing the keyboard to the host device from scratch. Deleting the connection is a two step process that involves 1) Clearing the connection for the desired Profile (1-5) ON THE KEYBOARD using the Mod + Windows command and 2) Forgeting/Removing the connection for the keyboard ON THE PC. If you are sold on the extra comfort of a key well, and want something ready made, it’s between this and the Advantage 360. If you want function keys or RGB lighting, or choc switches, or you need a decent web configuration editor, get this. You’ll also be saving a bunch of money. Just know that it feels far lighter and you might need to adjust to that a little, depending upon what you are used to. I certainly rate this board far higher after using it for 4 weeks than I did initially. Weight wise, half a Glove with wrist rest weighs in at just 235g, while the comparatively portly Advantage 360 comes in at 758g (over 3x the weight), while half a Moonlander weighs in at 360g. This means you can tailor the keyboard to your specific needs and preferences. One standout customization option is the ability to remap keys. You can swap keys on the base layer or move them to a different layer entirely. This makes it easy to access frequently used keys without stretching your fingers or contorting your hand into an uncomfortable position. Plus, if you're transitioning from a traditional QWERTY layout, remapping keys can help. The Kinesis Advantage 360 also features customizable keys that can be programmed with macros or shortcuts for increased productivity. You can assign commonly used phrases or commands to a single key, saving you time and effort during your workday. Disconnect the RIGHT module from your PC and use the battery-power switch to power it down (slide towards the USB port)

For the more bespoke stuff, you get to assign keys as ‘custom’, and then paste in the code as you would typically have in your keymap file in ZMK. Now, I appreciate that plenty of users won’t even know how to write these kind of things in the first place but you can ask in the ZMK or MoErgo Discord, copy code into your config and get it working, without needing to do any of the GitHub based shenanigans you need to with the Advantage 360. Why in the world is there no texture on the j and f keys to identify the home row? Was it that difficult to add a few millimeters worth of plastic on 2 keys? C'mon. That was just lazy, especially considering how awkward this keyboard is to get used to. I had to put some hot glue on pieces of tape I attached to the home row and various other keys to tell where I am without looking.

Also, although a selling point of the Glove80 is lightness for travel, there is no travel case or cover included so if you have travelling with it in mind, that’s something else to budget for. MoErgo did relate that they have a carry case in the works so at least you can look forward to something that will fit it well in future. In use The core buyer of the KINESIS Advantage360 Professional Split Ergonomic Keyboard is a professional who spends a significant amount of time typing and is seeking a comfortable, ergonomic, and customizable typing solution to reduce discomfort and improve productivity. 5 Reasons to Buy: QWERTY/Dvorak Switchable. All Advantage keyboard models can switch on the fly between QWERTY and Dvorak key layouts. Want dual legends? Buy a "QD" Qwerty-Dvorak switchable model, or get an upgrade kit later. Please note that Dvorak-only legends are not available. Soak the loose keycaps in warm soapy water lightly scrub to remove any gunk. Rinse the keycaps and let them thoroughly dry. The Glove comes with choc, low profile switches. On the first model I tried, it had red, linear choc switches. They are quite a noisy switch anyway, but this gets accentuated by the light structure of the Glove. There is no material density to swallow up the sound of the noisy springs and so tapping on the bottom of the housing produces the combined spring ping ringing of 40 choc red switches. That is a consideration here because the Glove80, like the similarly curved Advantage 360, isn’t hotswap so there is no easy way to swap them out.

And getting these things setup is an area where the Glove80 absolutely trounces the 360; the online configurator is far better. The Advantage360 Professional users Bluetooth Low Energy (“BLE”) wireless connectivity technology between the left and right modules, and the left module and the host computer. Compared to “Classic Bluetooth”, Bluetooth Low Energy is intended to provide considerably reduced power consumption and cost while maintaining a similar communication range. All major mobile and desktop operating systems natively support Bluetooth Low Energy, but desktop performance for BLE tends to lag behind Classic Bluetooth presently. Customization options for the Kinesis Advantage 360 keyboard are so extensive, it's like having a personal assistant at your fingertips. The keyboard features onboard programming that lets you remap keys, create macros, and customize up to nine layers of functionality. The Kinesis Advantage 360 is compatible with most operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and Chrome OS. You can connect it to your computer via USB or Bluetooth for added convenience. Furthermore, this keyboard supports several languages and layouts, making it suitable for a global audience.MECHANICAL SWITCHES AND PBT KEYCAPS PROVIDE A PREMIUM TYPING EXPERIENCE: Gateron Brown stem switches feature low activation force, popular tactile "bump", and incredible durability (50M presses). New and improved PBT keycaps resist shine and improve look, sound, and feel.
