About this deal

We brush by it, we risk it, without ever thinking about the consequences... Incident Diplomatique clearly possesses its share of superb provocation – bold, owned, and entirely inevitable when desire exudes from our every pore. As unexpected as it is audacious, the fragrance If you like smoky vetiver and earthy fragrances, this is great; it's dark yet fresh, deep and intense, classy and distinct. It's not "French Lover", but it's not trying to be. INCIDENT DIPLOMATIQUE is no exception. This is fabulous. Grown up. Masculine. Green. Earthy. Sophisticated. I normally cannot stand Vetiver but love Patchouli but them two together here in whatever ratio and extraction are just perfect. Smooth blend without any harsh edges like vetiver can be normally. Nothing dank here. There is a boozy liquor vib, mostly in the opening, that's hard to describe. It's not so sweet at all, just a bit, and doesn't take away from the smoky green vetiver and patchouli. It's so simple, yet an incredible beautiful and pungent aroma. The touch of mandarin orange, hints of a fruity liquor tone. The word volitile comes to mind when trying to describe this boozy freshness. It's perfectly blended and balanced, it's bright in a way, yet dry and austere, conservative, yet stunning !

Ages: 40 and above. The combination of patchouli and woods creates that green, woody, slightly cedar old school vibe commonly found in classic fragrances targeting mature wearers. Psychodelique has a nice butery vanilla, and it changes as it developes. You get the amber, and Vetiver, some of the other soft spices, as it progresses. The musk gives it a spicy edge. Absolutely perfect to me. Once it all melds together and those base notes start to reveal themselves more prominently, it is over for me. The rose and geranium I can’t make out. Or perhaps I can, but, they aren’t st standalone at one time to give me a clearer indication “yes, rose and geranium “The first sniff. I was absolutely delighted. It is masculine, smoky, heavy patchouli and vetiver, maybe a little boozy. This is not a "friendly" fragrance. It is a distant, cold, indifferent smell. It is well blended, and the ingredients are of a supreme quality. This is very raw smelling, and very masculine. But this has refinement and is well blended. It's a fragrance that smells natural and realistic like many Dyptique and Comme des Garcons fragrances.

For those who already have their heads spinning, there is dark chocolate with a golden sparkle. Yes, this fullness can make your head spin a little, but on the whole the fragrance remains controlled and skilfully balanced, full warmth and dry moments of patchouli and amber are artfully balanced. Yes, yes, I was. It is coromandel on steroids. It lifts heavy and with vigor. It envelopes your senses because the other notes beautifully dance around the patchouli. The development on my skin over time is flawless. The patchouli bound with amber and laudanum makes this so dark and dank, delicious, that for a few mins it nearly shares gourmand qualities to me. There is a sweetness, an almost chewy quality to it.I have enough great balsamic fragrances for Winter, so I proberbly will not be purchasing it. But I know it's a lot of people's #1 patchouli fragrance. I can see why, it's very warm and pleasant Patchouli, with a bit of the ruff edges smoothed over. Francois Hénin, however, did not want to revive the perfumes of the golden twenties and sell them as pseudo-vintage. Instead, JOVOY's creations are modern, evoking memories and associations, with the highest standards for ingredients.

As I dig deeper into the earth, I am surrounded by the rich, earthy scent of the forest floor mixing with the dense patchouli oil aroma radiating off my skin. The cool, damp soil feels refreshing against my warm, sweaty hands, providing a soothing relief from the heat of the rising sun. I am enveloped by the darkness of the dense forest, with only the faint glow of the dawn sky peeking through the leaves above. The sound of my shovel digging into the earth echoes through the quiet forest, the only noise breaking the stillness. But that dry down! mmmmmmm; after 8 hours it turns a creamy green when all ingredients come together in unison as apposed to jostling for the limelight. I definitely enjoyed in much, more this morning than last night where it was lovely, yet, still had that nutmeg abrasiveness that needed smoothing over. IMO this is very wearable and not too dark or pungent patchouli. The patch is heavy but it is so well integrated that at no point do I think it smells hippie, outdated, or like any stinky patchouli oil people wear. I think the reason people might say its too dark or patch heavy is because the fragrance itself is very powerful. Keep it to 1/2 spray and its almost a mass pleasing earthy gourmand or amber. I prefer to be enveloped in the cloud with 4 sprays however. As already mentioned, this is a powerhouse frag, a sillage monster and you really need to apply sparingly otherwise it will kill the people sitting next to you. longevity: 10 (I sampled it for the first time with only 1 spray, after 12 hours and a shower, I still could smell it on my hand) Shelf life and Sillage: Both in the upper range, the shelf life is in the upper third with about 8-9 hours and the Sillage is very fine, but well perceptible. My girlfriend could still see him well after 5 hours! At that time I didn't know what the consequences of buying this perfume would be for me. The relapse into old scent habits was thus initiated. By nature, the geranium is already a bit harsh, but it has a strong autumnal aroma. The proud roses, after their acquaintance with the first frost, hurl heavy, noble scents generously into this dark melange: nothing should be wasted, all remaining strength is put into these last flowering hours: the enchanting aroma of dying beauty!

Nothing like Patchouli Leaves (PL is green and moist and soil like a cave) and way rounder and more gourmandish vanillic than Coromandel (that is dry and medicinal). At first, it starts with a very, very sharp bitterness that induces a vegetal state and is special for patchouli. This intense bitterness subsides after ten minutes and becomes more balanced. In this case, it seems that the wet state is added to the previous smell. That is, it is as if you are smelling the roots of a plant that you watered half an hour ago. It lasted for six hours until it was a skin-scent and about 10 hours before it was quite difficult to detect on my skin. The sillage and projection were moderate with the sillage dropping faster than the projection within the two hours of wear. Personal Thoughts Proposing of patchouli! For those who like this fragrance, this Jovoy is a MUST, as it is said to be one of the most beautiful patchouli fragrances. At least many perfume testers/bloggers agree on this and I also agree completely--- The nutmeg is unique, very aromatic, a bit peppery. It makes a wonderfull accord with the Java vetiver oil, which gives it that unique, earthy distinction. The Haitian vetiver gives it a nice greenness, and a bit of freshness, along with the orange nuance, (very slight).answered already.
